1. REMOVAL OF THE STOCK STANDARD EXHAUST MUFFLER
This manual only provides the simple instructions. For more details please refer to the vehicles
official service manual.
1. Disconnect the cars negative terminal battery.
2. Remove the exhaust main muffler.
3. Remove the center exhaust pipe.
4. Remove the exhaust muffler cover (rubber) from the car body's left side.
5. Remove the main muffler hanger (bush) from the main part of the body.
6. Remove the hanger from the EVO 7/8 Japanese Bumper models exhaust pipe.
2．INSTALLATION OF THE TOMEI TITANIUM MUFFLER

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
【Installation procedure】
1 Use the

asket, nut & washer for fittin
g
the Main pipe A.
Make sure that the flange has the UPSIDE mark facing up.
* Use the supplied Gasket (ref ④) Washer (ref ⑤) Nut (ref ⑥).
＜EVO 9 Japanese Bumper Models and EVO 8/9 North American models＞
2-1. Fit the clamp band on the Main Pipe B, then use the springs to secure the Main Pipe A to B.
Then you fit the muffler hanger as well.
* Use the supplied Clamp Band (ref ⑨).
＜EVO 7/8 Japanese Bumper Models ＞
2-1 Fit the Muffler Hanger bush to the main pipe section with the M8 bolt, spring washer, grommet collar.
You can also fit the grommet collar to the muffler hanger now prior to installation.

prevent metal burns and seizures to the bolts and nuts.
