7. Slowly turn the steam controller, aer which the steam sprays out of the steam pipe and your drink is heated up. The
amount of steam can be controlled by turning the buon.
Warning: Never turn the steam controller too quickly, too much steam could be created too quickly otherwise, which in rare
cases could lead to an explosion.
8. When your drink has reached the required temperature, turn the steam controller to the closed posion again (turned
upwards) and press the steam buon to turn it o.
Aer use, you must properly ush though the steam pipe 1 me to remove residues of (chocolate) milk. For this, observe the
above-menoned steps and select water at step 5. Aer ushing through, throw away the water. Remove the aachment from
the steam pipe and clean it as described in secon CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE. Be careful that you do not burn yourself!
Aenon:
• If you want to make coee immediately aer using the steam pipe, the indicator light next to the coee buon will ash
quickly. The appliance is sll too hot for making coee. Aer using the steam pipe, we recommend switching o the
appliance and allowing it to cool down for at least 5 minutes, before making coee.
• When the appliance fails while steam is being released, the residual heat ensures that steam connuous to be released for a
certain period of me. The appliance stops producing steam when you turn the steam controller o (turned upwards).
Warning: The steam pipe becomes hot, only grab it by means of the supplied handle.
SWITCHING OFF
Aer use, always switch o the appliance by briey pressing the ON/OFF buon. When the indicator light switches o, you
can let go of the buon and the appliance is switched o. If you do not switch o the appliance yourself, it will switch o
automacally aer approx. 25 minutes to save energy. Aer switching o, remove the plug from the socket.
Aer making coee, do not forget to screw the lter holder out of the appliance and remove the coee residue. For this, push
the ap on the handle of the holder upwards with your thumb, this makes sure that the lter does not fall out of the holder.
Then remove the lter from the holder and rinse it under owing water. Empty the water reservoir to prevent scaling. Also
empty the removable leak tray regularly, the oater in the leak tray becomes visible above the cup grille when the leak tray is
full. Allow all parts to cool down before you clean them.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Regularly clean the coee machine. This is not only benecial for the life span of the appliance, it also ensures opmum use of
the appliance and, of course, good tasng coee.
Cleaning should involve the following:
• Prior to cleaning, always check that the coee machine is switched o, cooled down and that the plug has been removed
from the socket.
• Regularly clean the outside of the appliance with a slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry with a dry cloth.
• Regularly clean the water reservoir, leak tray and cup grille of the appliance with hot water and a mild washing-up liquid.
Then rinse thoroughly with hot water and wipe dry.
• Take the lter holder away from the appliance by turning it clockwise. Remove coee residues and clean the lter holder,
lters and measuring spoon/tamper with water and a mild washing-up liquid. Then rinse thoroughly with hot water and
wipe dry. Aenon! Avoid making contact with the blades in the lter for coee capsules, these are very sharp.
• Remove the aachment from the steam pipe and clean it with hot water and a mild washing-up liquid. Then rinse thoroughly
with hot water and wipe dry. Wipe the end of the steam pipe clean with a slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry with a dry
cloth.
• Place back all components correctly in the appliance.
Aenon: Never use abrasives, alcohol or solvents when cleaning. Never rinse the appliance under the tap or submerge it in
water.
