PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Before using the coee machine for the rst me, proceed as follows: Carefully unpack your coee machine and remove all
packaging material and possible promoonal sckers. Also do not forget the cover cap at the boom of the reservoir. Keep the
packaging (plasc bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Aer unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external
damage that may have occurred during transport.
Place the coee machine on a at, stable and heat-resistant surface. It is best to clean the interior of the new coee machine
prior to using it for the rst me. This is done as follows:
• Take the removable water reservoir from the appliance, slide the cover upwards and fold it over. Fill the
water reservoir with cold drinking water. Do not ll it above the MAX mark. Place the cover back on the
reservoir and slide the reservoir back into the appliance.
• Place the one- or two-cup lter without coee in the lter holder, making sure that the ball at the side of the
lter falls precisely into the indentaon in the holder. Then place the holder in the appliance from posion
and rmly turn the handle counter-clockwise to posion .
• Place a cup in the centre of the cup grille and make sure the steam controller is switched o (turned upwards).
• Insert the plug in the socket and press the on/o buon once, aer which the indicator light switches on.
• The indicator light next to the coee buon ashes. When this light remains on, press the coee buon and the appliance
will start to pump water. When water ows out of the lter holder, you must press the coee buon once more to stop the
ow of water.
• Now press the steam buon. The indicator light next to the buon ashes. When the light remains on, press the buon to
turn it o. The indicator light next to the coee buon will now ash quickly. Press down the coee buon and water will
start to ow.
• When the water stops owing, you must press the coee buon to turn it o. Then switch o the appliance, remove the plug
from the socket and remove the remaining water from the water reservoir and the cup.
• Allow the appliance to cool down and clean all separate parts as indicated in secon CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
Aenon: The appliance can make more noise when pumping water for the rst me, this is normal, as the air in the appliance
is released. Aer approximately 20 minutes the noise will decrease.
Important: Only ll the appliance with cold water. Hot water has a negave eect on the coee machine’s life span.
