Convenient calling
Automatic redial
If you did not manage to reach the party you called, you can activate
automatic redial. Your telephone repeats dialling up to 10 times at intervals of
60 seconds and ends its attempt if the party called does not answer within 30
seconds.
For details on presetting the function, see Page 44.
Starting automatic redial:
Requirement: Automatic redial is preset (the symbol Auto  can be seen
in the display).
You have dialled a telephone number and the other party is busy or is not
answering. Hang up (press the Lift / Replace key).
Auto Press the Auto redial key. The call number is
automatically dialled after 60 seconds. 5
seconds before dialling, you will hear 5 tones.
The handset then switches to hands free
mode. If the other party answers:
Speak to them in hands free mode.
Or...
Press the loudspeaker key, to turn off hands
free mode. You can then continue the call on
the handset.
Ending automatic redial:
Erase Press the Erase key. Automatic redial is
turned off.
Automatic redial ends automatically after 10
unsuccessful dialling attempts.

Choose Select 7 using the arrow key.
Select 7 Monitor Code Press the Select 7 key.
e.g. 2222 Enter the code (max. 4 digits).
Changing the code: Delete the figures and
enter the new code.
OK Press the OK key.
Select further settings. Or...
Press the R key to leave that menu level.
The code 0000 is not permitted and will not be accepted.
Entering police / fire numbers for a specific
country
The numbers for the police and fire service of your country should be stored,
so that these call numbers can be dialled in an emergency even if a dialling
restriction is activated. Normally, the two call numbers are stored with no area
code and, if connected to a PABX system, with the EIC (Exchange
Identification Code) (see also Page 62).
MENU Press the Menu key.
Choose Select 6 using the arrow key.
Select 6 System Set Press the Select 6 key.
Enter PIN Enter the 4-digit PIN.
OK Press the OK key.
Choose Select 8 using the arrow key.
Select 8 Police / Fire Press the Select 8 key.
e.g.Police No. Select memory location 1 (police number) or
memory location 2 (fire service number) using
the arrow key.
