Installation Instructions

For New Construction:
1. BEFORE INSTALLING TOILET (CLOSET)
FLANGE, slide Tile Buddy
TM
over the waste
pipe. Note: Additional Tile Buddies may be
necessary to determine the flange height.
2. Set toilet (closet) flange and square your
buddy to the wall framing behind the toilet,
then screw flange to the floor through Tile
Buddy
TM
preset holes. Secure Tile Buddy
TM
to floor using the 4 predrilled outer holes.
Note: Your buddy should be a minimum of
1/4” above the tile backer or tile ready floor.
3. You’re ready to tile. Butt tile up to Tile
Buddy
TM
leaving 1/16” around the buddy.
Install your toilet when tile and grout are set.
For Renovation Work:
1. Score and snap Tile Buddy
TM
in half at
pre-scored locations.
2. Remove set screws from the toilet flange
and slide the two halves of Tile Buddy
TM
under flange and square off with wall framing.
3. Re-Install set screws for toilet flange, then
screw flange to the floor through Tile
Buddy
TM
preset holes. Note: Your buddy
should be a minimum of 1/4” above the tile
backer or tile ready floor.
4. Secure Tile Buddy
TM
to the floor using the
4 predilled holes.
5. You’re ready to tile. Butt tile up to Tile
Buddy
TM
leaving 1/16” around the buddy.
Install your toilet when tile and grout are set.

Para construccion nueva:
1. ANTES DE INSTALAR LA BRIDA DEL
INODORO, deslice el Tile Buddy
TM
sobre la
tuberia de desague.
Nota: Adicionales TILE BUDDIES podrian ser

2. Instale la brida y escuadre su Tile Buddy

a la pared detras del inodoro, luego atornille
la brida al piso a traves de los orificios

nos ya perforados. Nota: EL BUDDY debe

3. Ya esta listo para el azulejo. Ponga los
azulejos hasta el Tile Buddy

dejando 1/16"
alrededor del mismo. Instale el inodoro
cuando el azulejo y la lechada esten curados.
Para trabajos de renovacion:
1. Haga un corte y quiebre el Tile Buddy
TM
en mitad usando la hendidura existente.
2. Quite los tornillos de fijacion de la brida
del inodoro y deslice las dos mitades del
Tile Buddy
TM
debajo de la brida y escuadrelo
con la pared.
3. Vuelva a instalar los tornillos de fijacion de
la brida del inodoro, luego atornille la brida
al piso a traves de los orificios internos del
Tile Buddy
TM
.
Nota: EL BUDDY debe quedar un minimo de
1/4" por encima de la base para azulejos o
baldosas.
4. Asegure el Tile Buddy
TM
al piso usando los
four (4) orificios externos ya perforados.
5. Ya esta listo para el azulejo. Ponga los
azulejos hasta el Tile Buddy
TM
dejando 1/16"
alrededor del mismo. Instale el inodoro
cuando el azulejo y la lechada esten curados.
