Section 4. FIRST-AID MEASURES
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult or if symptoms persist, get medical attention.
Skin contact: Wash with soap and water. If irritation or rash develops, get medical attention. If material is hot,
submerge injured area in cold water. Do not remove material bonded to the skin. Do not apply saves or
ointment. Get medical attention. If victim is severely burned, remove to a hospital immediately.
Eye contact: None required at ambient temperatures. If material is hot, treat for thermal burns and seek medical
attention.
Ingestion: If small amounts are swallowed, rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything
by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention.
Most important symptoms/effects, acute and delayed: May cause skin sensitization.
Indication of immediate medical attention and special treatment, if necessary: Immediate medical attention
is not required at ambient temperatures.
Section 5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Suitable (and unsuitable) extinguishing media: Use dry chemical, foam, or carbon dioxide to extinguish.
Water may be ineffective but can be used to cool exposed containers and structures and disperse flammable
vapors. Caution should be exercised when using water or foam as frothing may occur.
Specific hazards arising from the chemical: Not classified as flammable but product will burn under fire
conditions. Combustion may produce carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and other products of incomplete
combustion.
Special protective equipment and precautions for fire-fighters: Firefighters should wear positive pressure
self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing. Cool fire exposed containers with water.
Section 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal precautions, protective equipment, and emergency procedures: Avoid contact with hot material.
Environmental hazards: None known.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: At ambient temperatures, pick up material and
place into a container for disposal. If molten, allow material to solidify and cool. Pick up or scrape up and place
into a container for disposal.
Section 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Precautions for safe handling: Avoid contact with molten material. Avoid breathing vapors or fumes. Use with
adequate ventilation. Take precautions in use to prevent a fire hazard.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in a dry, well ventilated area away from
heat, direct sunlight and all sources of ignition.
