7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: Keep away from heat. Keep away from sources of ignition. Empty containers pose a fire
risk. Evaporate the residue under a fume hood. Ground all equipment containing material.
Do not ingest. Do not breathe fumes / vapor / spray. Wear suitable protective clothing. If
ingested, seek medical advice immediately.
Storage: Keep containers tightly closed. Store away from heat, sparks, open flames.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Engineering Controls
No special ventilation requirements. Good general ventilation sufficient to control exposure to
airborne contaminants.
Personal Protective Equipment
EYES:
When contact with liquid is possible, use a face shield and chemical goggles. Otherwise use safety
glasses or goggles.
SKIN:
Chemical gloves should be worn to prevent repeated contact. If potential for significant exposure to
liquid exists, use full protective clothing and chemical boots.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:
NIOSH-approved organic vapor air-purifying respirator, self contained breathing apparatus, or air-
supplied respirators dependent on concentration.
Exposure Guidelines:
No exposure limit has been set for exposure to vapors for this product. However, Lamplight and its suppliers
recommend the ACGIH/OSHA/NIOSH – recommended limit of 5 mg/m
3
(8-hour TWA) fir exposure to mists
of this product.
PEL = Permissible Exposure Limits TWA = Time Weighted Average ( 8hr.)
TLV = Threshold Limit Value STEL = Short Term Exposure Limit (15 min.)
