WARNING: BEFORE LOWERING THE TRACK SECTIONS, CAREFULLY CHECK FOR
OVERHEAD OBJECTS AND POWER LINES.
Raising the platform with or without load
WARNING: THE OPERATOR OF THIS HOIST UNIT SHOULD WEAR APPROPRIATE SAFETY EQUIPMENT
WHICH SHOULD INCLUDE APPROVED HAND PROTECTION, HEAD PROTECTION AND EYE PROTECTION.
ToraisetheplatformonLH200,facetheplatformandstandasfaraspossiblefromthehoisttooperate.
Placeyourfootonthefootcontrolbracetoengagethemotortodrumbelt,permittingtheplatformtorollup
thetracksection.Whentheplatformreachesthetop,releasefootIMMEDIATELY.Thiswillapplytheself
energizingbrake.Moveawayfromthehoistwhiletheloadisbeingremovedfromtheplatform.
Lowering the platform
Tolowerthecarriage,standtotherightorleftsideofthehoistandgraspthebrakehandle.Lightlyfeather
theplatformdownbyengaginganddisengagingthebraketoslowthecarriage.Lowerthecarriagetothe
groundataslowspeed(nottoexceed50/feetperminute).Continuetodeceleratetheplatformasitnears
thegroundtopreventdamagetotheplatformorbottombracestops.
DO NOT USE THE HOIST TO LOWER MATERIALS.
CAUTION: NEVER APPLY THE BRAKE ABRUPTLY - BROKEN HOIST CABLES AND/OR SEVERE INJURY TO
PERSONNEL OR EQUIPMENT MAY OCCUR. MAKE CERTAIN PLATFORM DOES NOT STRIKE THE BOTTOM
BRACE STOPS UPON REACHING THE BOTTOM OF THE TRACK SECTION.
Loweranddismantletheplatformhoistassemblyinthereverseoftheerectionprocedure,observingall
safetyprocedures.
3.Whenthehoistreachesaverticalposition,carefullyturnthehoist180degreeswiththeplatform
pointingawayfromthebuilding.Movethebottomofthehoistawayfromthebuilding,1/4ofthe
heightofthebuildingwherethetopofthehoististobesupported.Angleoftracksectionsfrom
buildingshouldbebetween18and20degrees.Makeallowancesforanoverhang.Seetrack
sectionchartforapproximatedistancesofthebasefromthebuilding.
AFTER ERECTING THE HOIST USING PROCEDURE “A” OR “B”, CONTINUE AS FOLLOWS:
4.Tiethetracksectiontotheroofwitharopefastenedtoacrosstieonthetopbrackettoprevent
slippageofthetracksection.DONOTTIEROPETOTHERAILS-THISWILLPREVENT
THEPLATFORMFROMOPERATINGPROPERLY.
5.Mountthepowerunittothetoprungofthesteelbottomsection.AttachtheV-belttothepulley
onthepowerunit.Slidethebrakehandleoverthebrakearmandinstallthepinprovided.
6.Removeanyropesusedtosecuretheplatformduringtransportation.
7.Makecertaintheshoesonthesteelbottomsectionarermlyrestingonlevelground.Thiswill
helptopreventtracksectionslippageorunevenloadingofthetracksectionwhichcouldcause
damageorinjurytopersonneland/ortoequipment.
