PLEASE NOTE: All Thule child carriers are designed with the end consumer in mind and their desire for maximum flexibility & performance; in order to achieve this, the purchase of conversion kit(s) is required allowing you to choose the activity you desire while also eliminating the need to purchase several dedicated child carriers.
1.1 Manual Intended Use Who is this Manual intended for? This Manual is intended for the purchaser and user of the carrier, who is also responsible for keeping it in proper condition, carrying out maintenance as prescribed and performing repairs. When using this carrier with the Thule Bicycle Trailer Kit, please also follow the owner’s manual of the bicycle used for towing and the specifications there regarding the maximum allowable full load for the bicycle. 1.

For that reason it is extremely important that you familiarize yourself with the safety instructions in this manual and follow them whenever you use this child carrier. 3.1 Symbols and Instructions 3.2 General Safety Instructions This owner’s manual uses warnings and notices throughout to emphasize safety and optimal use information. • Important – Keep these instructions for future reference.
• Do not allow any of the child’s body, clothing, shoe laces, or toys to come into contact with moving parts. • Care must be taken when folding and unfolding this child carrier to prevent finger entrapment. Ensure children are clear of any moving parts, otherwise they may be injured. • Do not install a car seat or any other seating device not approved by Thule Child Transport Systems Ltd. on this child carrier. • Only use Thule Child Transport Systems Ltd.
4 GETTING STARTED 4.0 Unpacking your carrier 4.1 INCLUDED COMPONENTS Verify that your carrier was packaged with the following items: • Chariot Cougar Chassis • Two-in-One Cover (on Chassis) • Handlebar • Two 20 inch Wheels • Accessory Cross Bar • The Owner’s Manual 1 NOTICE Store your carrier and its components in a safe dry place so that when they are needed, they are in the best possible condition. 4.2 Unfolding the Carrier 4.3 Folding the Carrier 1 3 A. 2 B. With one hand, pull or release the auto-lock disc on one side of the back frame. With the other hand, push forwards on the Click n' Store™ bracket. Repeat for the back frame on the other side of the carrier. (See image 3) With one hand on the upper frame and the other hand on the carrier axle, push the two halves together. WARNING Care must be taken when folding and unfolding this child carrier to prevent finger entrapment.

(See image 1) Release the wheel release button. Press the wheel fully into the carrier axle. Verify that the wheel is securely attached to the carrier by giving it a sharp pull. Repeat for the other wheel. Using a tire pressure gauge check the air pressure in each tire. The minimum recommended tire pressure is 30 psi (2.

Select a Thule conversion kit from the following: • Thule Strolling Kit • Thule Jogging Kit • Thule Bicycle Trailer Kit • Thule Cross-Country Skiing & Hiking Kit Install and use the selected kit according to the instructions included with the Thule Conversion Kits. 2 A. B. D. E. With one hand on each side of the handlebar, press and hold the spring buttons on both ends of the handlebar.
5 USE & FEATURES 5.0 Setting the Parking Brake 1 2 disengage the parking brake engage the parking brake A. B. C. Push in on the red foot pedal on the carrier axle to engage the parking brake. (See image 1) After engaging the brake always verify that the parking brake is working – the carrier should not roll forwards or backwards. Pull out on the red foot pedal on the carrier axle to release the parking brake. (See image 2) WARNING Never leave your child unattended in this child carrier.
5.1 Using the Two-in One Cover 1 A. B. C. D. E. 2 F. To improve the air flow inside the carrier; roll up the plastic window. Use the elastic rings at the top of the cover to keep the window up. (See image 1) To keep the elements out of the carrier; unroll the plastic window. To close the window, pull down the zippers on the side of the front window. To open the cover; pull down on the thumb tabs at the bottom of the cover to unhook it from the front of the carrier.
5.2 CHILD PLACEMENT AND SEATBELT 1 A. B. C. D. Engage the parking brake. Open the two-in-one cover. Loosen all of the belt adjustments. Undo the crotch strap buckle on the shoulder harness by pressing the red release button. E. Seat your child(ren). F. Slide the shoulder belt height adjustment located on the vertical web straps, in the seat back, to the same height as your child(ren)'s shoulders. (See image 1) G.
5.3 Using the Safety Wrist Strap 5.4 Adjusting the Adjustable Suspension 1 A. B. 2 Loop the free end of the safety wrist strap around your wrist to prevent the child carrier from becoming separated from you. (See image 1) When not in use stow the free end of the safety wrist strap inside the large mesh pocket. WARNING Failure to use the safety wrist strap could cause the carrier to become separated from you resulting in an accident in which your passenger(s) could suffer serious injury or death.
5.5 Using the SunsHADE 5.7 Cargo Bag & Storage 1 A. 3 4 To shade inside the carrier; roll the sunscreen down. Use the velcro at the bottom of the sunscreen to keep it closed. (See image 1) To let more light inside the carrier; roll the sunscreen up. Use the elastic rings at the top of the sunscreen to keep it up. 5.8 Using the Cargo Bag 1 A. 2 To lower the cargo bag; open the quick releases from both sides of the back frame and pull down on the cargo bag. Close the quick releases back up to keep the cargo bag in place. (See image 1) B. To raise the cargo bag; loosen the quick releases from both sides of the back frame and pull up on the cargo bag. Tighten the quick releases back up to keep the cargo bag in place.

6.2 STORAGE Store your child carrier, Thule Conversion Kit(s) and accessories in a dry area out of direct sunlight. If possible, hang the child carrier up off of the ground. Before storing your child carrier, it should be dry to prevent the growth of mold or bacteria. Do not store the wheels in contact with the windows. Do not store the child carrier coupled to a bicycle for long periods of time. 6.

4.2 Dépliage de la remorque 4.3 Pliage de la remorque 1 3 A. 2 B. D'une main, tirez ou relâchez le disque de verrouillage automatique d'un côté de la partie arrière du cadre. De l’autre main, appuyez sur le support Click n' Store™. Procédez de même de l'autre côté de la partie arrière de la remorque. (Voir image 3) Placez une main sur la partie supérieure du cadre et l’autre main sur l’essieu de la remorque, puis ramenez les deux moitiés de la remorque ensemble. MISE EN GARDE A. B. C.
4.4 Installation des roues 4.5 Désinstallation des roues 1 A. B. C. D. E. F. G. H. 2 Appuyez sur le bouton-poussoir de la roue et maintenez-le enfoncé. Insérez la roue dans l'essieu de la remorque. (Voir image 1) Relâchez le bouton-poussoir de la roue. Poussez la roue de sorte qu'elle soit complètement insérée dans l'essieu de la remorque. Assurez-vous que la roue est bien fixée à la remorque en tirant fermement sur celle-ci. Répétez le processus sur l'autre roue.

5 UTILISATION ET CARACTÉRISTIQUES 5.0 Utilisation du frein de parking 1 2 actionnez le frein de stationnement A. B. C. Enfoncez la pédale rouge sur l'essieu de la remorque pour engager le frein de stationnement. (Voir image 1) Lorsque le frein de stationnement est actionné, assurez-vous toujours qu’il fonctionne correctement (la remorque ne doit pas avancer ni reculer). Libérez la pédale rouge sur l'essieu de la remorque pour relâcher le frein de stationnement.
1 5.1 Utilisation de la toile de protection 2 en 1 A. B. C. D. 2 E. F. Pour une meilleure aération à l'intérieur de la remorque, enroulez la fenêtre en plastique. Utilisez les anneaux élastiques situés en haut de la toile pour maintenir la fenêtre. (Voir image 1) Déroulez la membrane en plastique afin de protéger les passagers des intempéries. Pour fermer la fenêtre, abaissez les fermetures éclair sur le côté de la fenêtre avant.
5.2 POSITION DE L'ENFANT ET UTILISATION DE LA CEINTURE Actionnez le frein de stationnement. Ouvrez la toile de protection 2 en 1. Desserrez les adaptateurs de la ceinture. Libérez la boucle de la sangle d'entrejambes de la ceinture-harnais en appuyant sur le bouton rouge. E. Asseyez votre/vos enfant(s). F. Faites glisser l'adaptateur de hauteur des harnais d'épaules, situé sur les sangles verticales à l'arrière du siège, à la même hauteur que les épaules de votre/vos enfant(s). (Voir image 1) G.
5.3 Utilisation de la dragonne 5.4 Ajuster la suspension réglable 1 A. B. 2 Passez votre poignet dans l'extrémité libre de la dragonne afin de toujours avoir la remorque bien en main. (Voir image 1) Si vous n’utilisez pas la dragonne, rangez l’extrémité libre de celle-ci dans la grande pochette en filet. MISE EN GARDE Si vous n’utilisez pas la dragonne, vous risquez de perdre le contrôle de la remorque et causer un accident pouvant provoquer des blessures graves, voire mortelles pour vos passagers.
5.5 Utilisation de la visière 5.7 Sac de transport et rangement 1 A. 3 4 Pour abriter l’habitacle, déroulez la visière. Utilisez la bande velcro au bas de la visière pour la maintenir en place. (Voir image 1) Pour plus de lumière à l'intérieur de la remorque, enroulez la visière. Utilisez les anneaux élastiques situés en haut de la visière pour la maintenir en place. 5.8 Utilisation du porte-bagages 1 A. 2 Pour abaisser le sac de transport, ouvrez les leviers de blocage rapide de chaque côté de la partie arrière du cadre et tirez le sac vers le bas. Fermez les leviers de blocage rapide en position haute pour maintenir le sac de transport en place. (Voir image 1) B. Pour remonter le sac de transport, desserrez les leviers de blocage rapide de chaque côté de la partie arrière du cadre et tirez le sac vers le haut.
6 INFORMATIONS SUPPLÉMENTAIRES 6.0 Accessoires 6.1 Entretien De nombreux accessoires peuvent être utilisés avec votre remorque Chariot : Inspectez régulièrement votre remorque pour enfants, les kits de transformation Thule et les accessoires pour vous assurer qu’ils ne montrent aucun signe de détérioration ou d’usure.
6.2 RANGEMENT Rangez la remorque pour enfants, les kits de transformation Thule et les accessoires dans un endroit sec, à l’abri du soleil. Dans la mesure du possible, suspendez la remorque pour enfants. Afin de prévenir la formation de moisissure et de bactéries, veillez à ce que la remorque soit sèche avant de la ranger. 4 ERSTE SCHRITTE 4.0 Auspacken des Carriers 4.1 ENTHALTENE KOMPONENTEN Stellen Sie sicher, dass die folgenden Gegenstände mit Ihrem Carrier mitgeliefert wurden: • Chariot Cougar-Basis • Zwei-in-Eins-Verdeck (für die Basis) • Schiebebügel • Zwei 20" Aluminium-Räder • Crossbar für Zubehör • Bedienungsanleitung 1 HINWEIS Lagern Sie den Carrier und seine Komponenten an einem sicheren, trockenen Ort, damit sie in bestmöglichem Zustand bleiben. 4.2 Aufbau des Carriers 4.3 Zusammenfalten des Carriers 1 3 A. 2 B. Ziehen Sie mit einer Hand an den Verriegelungsknöpfen des hinteren Rahmens, zunächst auf einer Seite. Drücken Sie mit der anderen Hand die Click n' Store™-Aufnahme nach innen. Gehen Sie auf der anderen Seite des Carriers am hinteren Rahmen genauso vor. (Siehe Bild 3) Drücken Sie die beiden Hälften mit einer Hand am oberen Rahmen und der anderen Hand an der Achse des Carriers zusammen. WARNUNG A. B. C.
4.4 Montage der Laufräder 4.5 Demontieren der Räder 1 A. B. C. D. E. F. G. H. 2 Halten Sie den Schnellspannknopf zum Lösen der Räder am Rad gedrückt. Führen Sie die Radachse in die Carrier-Achse ein. (Siehe Bild 1) Lassen Sie den Entriegelungsknopf los. Drücken Sie das Rad vollständig in die Achsaufnahme am Carrier hinein. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Laufrad fest in der Verankerung sitzt, indem Sie kräftig daran ziehen. Wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang am anderen Rad.
4.6 Montage des Schiebebügels 4.7 Montage eines Thule-Umrüst-Sets A. 1 B. Wählen Sie eines der folgenden Thule-Umrüst-Sets aus: • Thule-Buggy-Set • Thule-Jogging-Set • Thule-Fahrrad-Set • Thule-Skilanglauf- und -Hiking-Set Installieren und verwenden Sie das ausgewählte Set entsprechend der Anweisungen zu den ThuleUmrüst-Sets. 2 A. B. C. D. Drücken Sie mit je einer Hand auf beiden Seiten des Schiebebügels die Federknöpfe gleichzeitig und halten Sie diese gedrückt.
5 NUTZUNG UND MERKMALE 5.0 Betätigen der Feststellbremse 1 2 Lösen der Feststellbremse Betätigen der Feststellbremse A. B. C. Betätigen Sie das rote Fußpedal an der Achse des Transporters, um die Feststellbremse zu aktivieren. (Siehe Bild 1) Vergewissern Sie sich nach dem Aktivieren der Bremse stets, dass die Feststellbremse ordnungsgemäß funktioniert – der Transporter darf weder vorwärts noch rückwärts rollen.
5.1 Verwendung des Zwei-in-EinsVerdecks A. Um die Luftzirkulation im Innern der Fahrgastzelle zu verbessern, rollen Sie das Kunststoff-Fenster auf. Verwenden Sie die elastischen Schlaufen an der Oberseite des Verdecks, um das Fenster zu befestigen. (Siehe Bild 1) Um den Innenbereich des Carriers vor dem Wetter zu schützen, rollen Sie das Kunststoff-Fenster herunter. Verwenden Sie die Reißverschlüsse an der Seite des Frontfensters, um das Fenster zu schließen.
5.2 PLATZIERUNG DES KINDES UND ANPASSEN DES SICHERHEITSGURTS Betätigen Sie die Feststellbremse. Öffnen Sie das Zwei-in-Eins-Verdeck. Lösen Sie alle Sicherheitsgurte. Öffnen Sie die Schnalle des Schrittgurts, der mit dem Schultergurt verbunden ist, durch Drücken des roten Knopfes. E. Setzen Sie das Kind in den Sitz. F. Schieben Sie die höhenverstellbaren Schultergurte an den vertikalen Gurten hinten im Sitz auf die gleiche Höhe wie die Schultern des Kindes bzw. der Kinder. (Siehe Bild 1) G.
5.3 Verwendung des Fangbands 5.4 Einstellen der einstellbaren Blattfederung (Adjustable Suspension) 1 A. B. 2 Legen Sie das freie Ende des Fangbands um Ihr Handgelenk, um zu verhindern, dass sich der Kinderanhänger ungewollt von Ihnen löst. (Siehe Bild 1) Verstauen Sie das freie Ende des Fangbands in der großen Netztasche, wenn Sie diese nicht brauchen.
5.5 Verwendung der Sonnenblende 5.7 Gepäcktasche und Stauraum 1 A. 3 Um den Innenbereich der Fahrgastzelle zu verdunkeln, rollen Sie den Sonnenschutz herunter. Verwenden Sie zur Befestigung den Klettverschluss an der Unterseite des Sonnenschutzes. (Siehe Bild 1) Um mehr Licht in den Innenraum zu lassen, rollen Sie den Sonnenschutz auf. Verwenden Sie die elastischen Schlaufen an der Oberseite des Sonnenschutzes, um ihn zu arretieren. B. 4 Ihr Carrier ist mit den folgenden Stauräumen ausgestattet: A.
5.8 Verwendung der Gepäcktasche 1 A. 2 Um die Gepäcktasche niedriger einzustellen, öffnen Sie die Schnellverschlüsse auf beiden Seiten des hinteren Rahmens und ziehen Sie die Tasche nach unten. Schließen Sie die Schnellverschlüsse wieder, damit die Gepäcktasche nicht verrutscht. (Siehe Bild 1) B. Um die Gepäcktasche anzuheben, lösen Sie die Schnellverschlüsse auf beiden Seiten des hinteren Rahmens und ziehen Sie die Tasche nach oben.
6 ZUSÄTZLICHE INFORMATIONEN 6.0 Zubehör 6.1 Es gibt zahlreiche Accessoires, die mit Ihrem Chariot kompatibel sind: Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig Ihren Kindertransporter, Thule-Umrüst-Sets und Zubehör auf Schäden und Abnutzungserscheinungen.
6.2 LAGERUNG Lagern Sie Ihren Kindertransporter, Thule-Umrüst-Sets und Zubehör an einem trockenen Ort ohne direkte Sonneneinstrahlung. Lagern Sie Ihren Kindertransporter nach Möglichkeit hängend.
