The remote IP address and remote port
correspond to the computers which communicate
with the Internet. In this case, the QOS rules only
apply to data streams coming from the Internet to
a computer in the local network.
- Select a traffic type: FTP, HTTP (websites),
SMTP and P OP3 ( email management).
- Select the protocol: TCP, UDP or both.
- Click Apply to validate the new settings.
Rules applied to the Router are displayed in the
table.
- Click Modify to apply the rule.
5.4.2. Configuring the DHCP server
This chapter will explain how to configure the internal DHCP server which manages the IP addresses of your
computers.
- On the home page, click the Advanced
settings button.
- Select Router's IP configuration.
- You can modify the Router's IP address
(192.168.2.1, by default) and its subnet mask
(255.255.255.0, by default).
Be sure to make a note of this IP address.
Without it, you will not be able to reconnect to
your Router.
- If you enable DHCP, you can modify the s t a r t
IP address (192.168.2.2, by default), the e n d I P
address (192.168.2.128, by default) and the
lease time for these addresses (Forever is the
default value).
- If you do not enable DHCP, you decide to set
the IP address for each computer yourself.
- You can assign a domain name to this server
and a specific IP address according to the
computer's MAC address.
