1. Click Start/Settings/Control Panel. Double-
click N e t w o r k .
2. In the Configuration tab of the N e t w o r k
window, highlight the name of your network
adapter.
3. Click Properties and select Obtain an IP
address automatically in the IP Address tab.
4. Click OK to close the windows, then exit the
Control Panel.
The Router will now be able to assign an IP
address to your computer.
An IP address is a unique address assigned by
the router to the computer. Each computer has its
own identity, via its IP address, allowing it to be
identified within the network.
