WARNING Before using this product, please read this manual carefully and save it for later reference. Warnings Keep the product in a dry location and do not expose it to dust or sunlight. Respect the connection directions. Do not twist or pull on the connectors and cables. Do not spill any liquid on the product or its connector. Do not short-circuit the product.
ASSEMBLING THE PRODUCT 1. Insert the pedal (2) into the arm on the body (1). 2. Unscrew the two screws on the back of the pedal using the 2.5 mm Allen key (8), and then screw them back in again, attaching the sensor’s arm.
3. Insert a washer (4) and a nut (3) on top, and then tighten the assembly using the 14 mm flat wrench (6) and the 8 mm flat wrench (7). 4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the second pedal.
ADJUSTING THE TENSION OF THE RUDDER’S AXIS Adjust the number and position of the springs at the back of the product. - Minimum resistance: 1 spring in the high position - Maximum resistance: 2 springs in the low position Minimum resistance Maximum resistance Depending on the selected position, the tension will be between 2.5 kg and 5 kg.
ADJUSTING THE INCLINATION OF THE TWO PEDALS Adjustment point number 1: - Using the included 2.5 mm Allen key (8), unscrew the two screws attached to the pedal’s metal head (2). - Reposition the support into its new position, and screw everything back together. Number of possible positions for this adjustment point: 5 Adjustment point number 2: - Using the included 3 mm Allen key (9), unscrew the screw attaching the sensor to the body (1).
Examples: Least inclined position Most inclined position Depending on the positions selected in adjustments 1 and 2: The pedal’s angle will vary between 35° and 75°. The pedal’s range of travel will vary. Please note: in order to ensure that the product functions properly, all three screws described for adjustment points 1 and 2 must be attached to each pedal.
INSTALLATION ON PC 1. Visit https://support.thrustmaster.com to download the drivers for PC. Click Joysticks / TPR Rudder, then select Drivers. 2. Once the download is complete, launch the installation, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the TPR Rudder’s USB connector to your PC and complete the installation. 3. Once the installation is complete, click Finish and restart your computer. 4.
GENERAL NOTES ON PC • Be sure to always completely close the Game Controllers window by clicking OK before starting your game. • The TPR Rudder’s firmware version appears in the lower right-hand part of the control panel’s tabs. • On PC, the TPR Rudder is compatible: - in all games supporting multi-USB and rudders; - with all joysticks on the market. T.A.R.G.E.T. ADVANCED PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE (Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor) Please visit https://support.thrustmaster.com. Click Joysticks / TPR Rudder, then select Software. Download and install the T.A.R.G.E.T. advanced programming software. Main features of T.A.R.G.E.T.: - Different possible configurations for the axes of the rudder and of the differential brakes. - Different possible programming levels: Basic, Advanced and Script. - Use of the Drag and Drop principle.
TROUBLESHOOTING AND WARNING • My rudder isn’t working properly, or seems to be improperly calibrated. - Power off your PC, and disconnect the rudder’s USB connector. Then reconnect the USB connector, power on your PC again, and restart your game. • I can’t configure my rudder. - In your game’s Options / Controller / Gamepad or Joystick menu, select the appropriate configuration or completely reconfigure the controller’s options. - For more information, please refer to your game’s user manual or online help.
