Rear Panel Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the MM 002 moving-magnet phono preamplifier. Please read this manual carefully before operating your unit in order to guarantee the best performance. Installation and Operation 1. Connect your turntable to the MM 002 2. Connect the MM 002 to your amplifier Plug the leads from your turntable’s cartridge to the input sockets on the back of the MM 002: the Right channel (red) cable into the Right input and the Left channel (white) into the Left input. If your tonearm has a separate earth wire for shielding purposes please connect it to the earth binding post on the rear panel of the MM 002.
Installation and Operation 3. Connect the power adaptor Make sure the power switch is in the OFF (outwards) position and the power adaptor is not connected to a mains socket. Connect the Thorens power supply cable to the power socket on the rear panel. After choosing and installing the correct snap-in mains plug for your country, connect the power adaptor to a live mains socket then press the power button on the rear panel to the ON (inwards) position.

Inbetriebnahme 1. Plattenspieler mit MM 002 verbinden 2. MM 002 mit Verstärker verbinden Verbinden Sie die Anschlusskabel Ihres Plattenspielers mit den Eingängen des MM 002: Den rechten Kanal (rot) mit dem rechten Eingang, den linken Kanal mit dem linken Eingang (weiß). Wenn Ihr Tonarm über ein Erdungskabel verfügt, so verbinden Sie dieses bitte mit dem entsprechenden Anschluss am MM 002.
Inbetriebnahme 3. Netzkabel anschließen Stellen Sie sicher, dass der MM 002 ausgeschaltet ist und das Netzteil nicht mit dem MM 002 verbunden ist. Verbinden Sie zunächst das Netzteil mit dem MM 002. Wählen Sie den für Ihr Land passenden Anschlussadapter für das Netzteil und verbinden Sie dieses mit der Netzsteckdose. Schalten Sie anschließend den MM 002 ein. Der MM 002 hat einen sehr geringen Stromverbrauch.

Installation et fonctionnement 1. Raccordez votre platine au MM 002 2. Raccordez le MM 002 à votre amplificateur Branchez les fils de la cellule de votre platine aux prises d’entrée à l’arrière du MM 002 ; le câble du canal Droit (rouge) dans l’entrée Droite (Right) et celui du canal Gauche (blanc) dans l’entrée Gauche (Left). Si votre bras de lecture possède un fil de mise à la terre séparé, veuillez le raccorder à la borne de mise à la terre sur le panneau arrière du MM 002.
Installation et fonctionnement 3. Raccordez l’adaptateur secteur Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur Marche/Arrêt est sur la position OFF (vers l’extérieur) et que l’adaptateur secteur n’est pas connecté à une prise secteur. Raccordez le câble d’alimentation Thorens à la prise d’alimentation sur le panneau arrière.
