INSTALLATION
Never install telephone w iring during a lightning storm.
Never install telephone jacks in w et locations unless the jack is
specifically designed for w et locations.
Never touch non-insulated telephone wires or term inals, unless the
telephone line has been disconnected at the netw ork interface.
Use caution w hen installing or modifying telephone lines.
•Tem porarily disconnect any equipment connected to the phone such as
faxes, other phones, or m odem s.
IMPORTANT INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
Install telephone near both a telephone (modular) jack and an electrical
pow er outlet.
•Avoid sources of noise, such as a window by a busy street, and electrical
noise, such m otors, microwave ovens, and fluorescent lighting.
•Avoid heat sources, such as heating air ducts, heating appliances,
radiators, and direct sunlight.
•Avoid areas of excessive m oisture or extremely low tem perature.
•Avoid dusty locations.
•Avoid other cordless telephones or personal com puters.
INSTALLING THE PHONE
1. Choose an area near an electrical outlet and telephone wall jack (RJ11C).
2. Plug the AC pow er converter into an electrical outlet and the DC
connector into the power jack on the back of the base.
CAUTION: Use only the ATLINKS USA, Inc. power supply 5-2620
(black) or 5-2627 ( wh ite) th at came with this unit. Usin g other power
supplies may damage th e un it.
3. Install the handset battery.
NOTE: You must con nect the handset battery before use.
