4. Plug the AC power converter into the electrical outlet and the

DC connector into the jack on the back of the base/gateway.

CAUTION: Use only the SALOM Model SSW-

1328US power adaptor that came with this

unit. Using other power adaptors may damage

the unit.

This power adaptor is intended to

be correctly orientated in a vertical or ﬂoor

mount position.

First Time Start Up

You must complete the following steps the ﬁrst time you use your

GE/Skype phone. Start by turning on the handset by pressing the

phone END button until the handset turns on.

1. Find your preferred language

using the navigation button, then press

to select a language. Conﬁrm your

selection by pressing .

2. You are then directed to the Skype

Agreement. Use to read the entire

text and then press to accept the

agreement.

3. Conﬁrm the country code setting by

pressing . Alter your country code

by inserting “+” followed by the country

code number of your choice and press

4. Enter your local area code(s). You may

enter up to 3 codes if your area has

multiple codes. Press to continue.

5. Choose Sign in to Skype or Create new

account by pressing followed by .
