Using your T/C 22 LR Classic
Rifle in a single shot mode
The T/C 22 LR Classic rifle has been designed to fire as a single shot rifle, with-
out the magazine in place. This feature allows the rifle to be fired as a single
shot should the magazine be lost or misplaced, or, it allows the rifle to be used
as a beginner’s rifle. Starting a new shooter off with a single shot rifle has almost
become traditional in the aspects of proper firearms training. As the shooter
becomes competent and proves his mastery of safe gun handling, he or she is
then allowed the use of the magazine.
The safety of your T/C 22LR Classic should be in the rearward “ON” posi-
tion at all times unless you are actually engaged in the act of shooting.
FAILURE TO HEED THIS WARNING CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR
DEATH TO THE SHOOTER OR BYSTANDERS AND DAMAGE TO
PROPERTY.
When loading T/C’s 22 LR Classic rifle, without the magazine, loading will be
made easier when the shooter can lock back the bolt manually (without the
magazine in place). Once the bolt has been locked back, the shooter can pro-
ceed to insert the 22 LR cartridge directly into the chamber manually. Once
inserted, simply pull backwards on the bolt, release it, and it will travel forward
coming to rest against the chambered cartridge.
To manually lock the bolt in the rearward position:
1. Pull rearward on the bolt handle until the bolt is fully rearward
