The photo on page 20 pictures a shooter in the process of loading a muzzleloading
rifle. Study this photo carefully and read all the captions before you proceed to charge
your rifle.
The complete sabot unit should be seated firmly on the powder charge as indicated
in the illustration below.
Do not exceed the recommended loading data in this manual when using
Thompson/Center Sabots in Thompson/Center rifles. When using rifles not
manufactured by Thompson/Center, do not exceed the recommended loads
provided by the manufacturer of your rifle.
