For detailed information, please refer to the user guide in the memory card included in the product package.

This Dashboard Camera (dash cam) is a specialized onboard device that continuously records while the vehicle is in use.

the Camera Lens
3. Connecting the Device and the
Mount
Install the dash cam on the right of center behind
the rearview mirror as the camera is located on the
left side of the main unit.
Align the mount with the connector (A), and
slide it towards (B) until it clicks into place.
5. Installing the Device
Clean the installation area.
Remove protective tape from the back of
the mount.
Attach the mount near the center of the
windshield where it does not interfere with
the driver’s view.
6. Connecting to Power
Connect the power cable to DC-IN socket of
the dash cam.
Plug the power adapter into a 12V power
outlet of vehicle.
Arrange the wire with the adhesive cable
holders as illustrated.
Preventing Vehicle Battery Discharge
Depending on the car make and model, the power from the vehicle can be supplied even
with the ignition turned o. In this case, the dash cam can stay on in continuous mode does
not enter parking surveillance mode, which will result in vehicle battery drainage.
Some vehicles with multiple power sockets might be equipped with at least 1 outlet that
does not shut o the power with the ignition. Test each power outlet to ensure you connect
to an outlet that shut o with vehicle ignition.

will automatically turn on and o with
vehicle ignition.
10. Viewing Recorded Videos on the Device
Go to “File List” from the main menu.
Select a video le from the playlist to playback a video clip.

11. Formatting MicroSD Card
Select “Memory Card Format” menu located at
“Mem Card Settings > Memory Format”.
The MicroSD card should be formatted every 2
weeks to maximize the lifetime of the memory
card.
12. Upgrading Firmware
The dash cam will automatically update its rmware whenit nds the upgrade le in the
MicroSD card.
Ensure your device is up to date with the latest rmware. Check the Thinkware website
(www.thinkware.com) for latest rmware upgrades.
Driving at night, tunnels, heavy rain/snow, road surface
conditions can aect accuracy of ADAS features.
Hide the power cable by placing
(tucking) it in the space between
the vehicle headliner and the top
of the windshield.
Device only supports MicroSD UHS-I card with capacity of 16GB or higher.
7. Adjusting the Camera Angle
After installation, turn on the dash cam and use the
live view on the LCD screen to adjust the camera
angle.
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This Class A digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003.
2. Recording Videos While Driving
Continuous Recording Mode
Dash cam will immediately store the 10 seconds prior and after the impact when it detects
an impact.
This 20-second video will be saved under evt_rec” folder in the MicroSD card. The dash
cam will detect impact as incident only if the level of impact is greater than the sensitivity
set by the user.

TM
(Internal Memory Backup)
Dual Save is a Thinkware proprietary technology that guarantees a backup copy of
incident recordings in the internal memory in the case of a memory card failure in the
aftermath of an incident.
Incident Recording during Continuous Recording Mode
Briey press the REC button to start the manual recording which will record for 1
minute (10 seconds prior and 50 seconds after) and saved under “manual_rec” folder.
The oldest video le will be overwritten when the allocated memory for manual recording
videos mode is full.

3. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
1. ADAS settings must be calibrated before use.
2. Auto Calibration will initiate when driving on a
straight road at a speed greater than 30km/h
(18mph) for more than 1 minute.

Align blue line with center of the hood
Align green line with the front edge of the hood
Enable the LDWS feature in "LCD Menu > Settings > Road
Safety Settings > LDWS".
Enable the FCWS feature in "LCD Menu > Settings > Road Safety Settings > FCWS"
<1st stage initial FCWS warning>
Enable the FVDW feature in "LCD Menu > Settings > Road
Safety Settings > FVDW"
<2nd stage FCWS warning when fast approaching the vehicle
ahead after initial warning was given>
Lane departure warning alerts the driver when the vehicle
moves out of its lane. LDWS is activated only when the
vehicle is moving faster than 50km/h (30mph)
* Default setting : 80km/h (approx 50mph)
Forward collision warning alerts the driver when the vehicle is approaching the vehicle ahead at a
high closing rate. FCWS is activated only when the vehicle is moving faster than 30km/h (18mph)
Front vehicle departure warning alerts the driver when the
vehicle ahead starts to move forward from a complete stop.

6. Caution
Depending on the make and model of your
car, the power may be constantly supplied
to the dash cam even with the ignition
turned o. This may result in vehicle bat-
tery discharge.
This device is designed to record video
while the vehicle is in operation. The
quality of the video might be aected by
weather conditions and the road environ-
ment such as day or night, presence of
street lighting, entering/exiting tunnels,
and the surrounding temperature.
Do not operate this device while driving.
This device is intended to be used inside
the vehicle only.
Keep the windshield clean for optimal
video quality.
If a foreign substance (e.g. ngerprints)
is attached to the lens, it may reduce the
quality of the recorded videos. Keep the
lens clean all the time.
The specied operating temperature of
this product is -10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F)
and storage temperature is -20°C to 70°C
(-4°F to 158°F). Ensure that the device is
kept within these temperature ranges;
otherwise, the device may not function as
designed and at extreme temperatures,
permanent physical damage can result
which is not covered by warranty.
The device and/or installation parts have
moving parts and may shift in extreme
road conditions such as unpaved road.
Check frequently to ensure the device is
positioned as instructed in this guide.
Only use genuine accessories and pe-
ripherals from THINKWARE or authorized
THINKWARE dealer. THINKWARE does not
warrant the safety and compatibility from
use of peripherals from other manufac-
turers. Use genuine parts supplied by
THINKWARE.
Do not place or store the device where it
can be accessible by children and pets.

Move the le named “Dashcam Viewer.zip” stored in the MicroSD card to the desktop.
Right click on the mouse and select “Open With > Archive Utility to launch the Think-
ware Dash cam PC viewer application.
13. Installing PC Viewer
Removing MicroSD card
Insert the MicroSD card into the USB Mi-
croSD card reader (included in the package)
with front side facing up as shown in the
illustration.
Connect the USB MicroSD card reader to
the PC.
Ensure that the USB card reader is correctly
oriented when inserting to USB drive on the PC

Run the PC Viewer setup le from the MicroSD
card to start the installation.
Run the PC Viewer once installation is success-
fully completed.
( ) Click File from the menu and select the
drive for the MicroSD card.
Select and watch the video from appropriate
playlist in each recording mode.
