BOOTLOADER
Places the reader in a special mode where it is waiting to receive a firmware upgrade. In this
state, the reader will not respond to normal commands and requires a power cycle to return to
normal operation. See Appendix A for how to upload firmware using the Thinkify Upgrade
Utility.
Note:
Entering bootloader mode un-enumerates the USB port in Windows. Reset into normal code
re-enumerates port.
This can confuse terminal programs like Tera Term / Hyperterm. After executing the
bootloader command disconnect terminal program. After resetting and re-enum then
reconnect terminal program.
The host Bootloader program provided by Thinkify for firmware upgrades runs the USB
interface with a HID windows class driver. (Normal operation is with a windows CDC class
driver.)

The reader is now waiting for a firmware upgrade. At this point you may use the Thinkify
Upgrade Utility to load new firmware. See Appendix A.
To reboot the reader, simply unplug it and plug it back in.
