directly above the T1 temperature display. To turn the alarm off,
press the ALARM ON/OFF button and the word LIMIT will no
longer be displayed.
Note: It is recommended to disable the Auto-off feature if you
intend to use the alarm feature, otherwise the unit will power off
after 20 minutes.
Setting the Display Unit
The TW8060 will display temperatures in two scales, Fahrenheit
and Celsius. To switch from one to the other, press the Units
button momentarily and the unit on the LCD display will change.
The factory default setting is °F.
Backlight Function
This unit has a backlight that can be activated for viewing the
display in dark environments. The backlight will shut off after
30 seconds to preserve the battery life. To turn the backlight on,
press the Backlight button momentarily. To turn the backlight
off, press the Backlight button once again.
Battery Replacement
When the battery voltage drops below proper operating range,
the symbol will appear on the LCD display and the
batteries should be replaced.
• Remove the battery cover by pressing gently toward the base
of the meter to slide the cover down.
• Replace the batteries with 3 AAA 1.5 volt batteries following
the proper instructions inside the case.
• Replace the battery cover.
