USEFUL TIPS
Allow 10 to 30 minutes, depending upon the size of the area, for
product to take effect. This product works well in outdoor areas
where there is minimal air movement, such as decks, unenclosed
porches, patios and yards. Use one device per each 225 square
feet/~21m² (an area 15’ x 15’ or 4.6 x 4.6 Meter) or 15’/4.6 Meter in
diameter. Device protects against mosquitoes, black flies, flying
insects and bugs. Heat from the Thermacell
®
cartridge activates
the mat and provides mosquito protection for up to four hours (up
to 12 hours when using L4 long-life mats). Some visible vapor will
appear during use; this is normal. Cover must be off in order to use
the mosquito repellent. When finished using mosquito repellent,
replace cover to keep out water, dirt or other debris. Store in a
clean, dry area when not in use to extend useful life. Mosquito
repeller can be used without batteries for the ZoneCheck monitor
if desired.
USE RESTRICTIONS
Only for outdoor use as an insect protection. Do not use indoors, in
tents or in any enclosed area. Do not insert anything other than
Thermacell
®
mats into the device. Cover or remove all exposed
food. Do not leave device unattended or use in windy conditions. Do
not expose devices or mats to rain. Place device on a flat, stable
surface with the grill facing upward. Clean with a damp cloth only
when the device is cool and inactive. Butane cartridges other than
Thermacell
®
cartridges will not work in this device. May not work
at elevations over 7000 ft.

NÜTZLICHE TIPPS
Für beste Resultate, abhängig von der zu schützenden Fläche, 10
bis 30 Minuten einschalten bis das Produkt seine volle Wirkung
entfaltet. Dieses Produkt funktioniert bestens im Freien, bei keiner
bis geringer Luftbewegung, sowie in Veranden, Innenhöfen, Gärten
und Höfen. Bei Luftbewegung sicherstellen, dass man vom
verdampften Wirkstoff angeströmt wird. Ein Gerät auf einer Fläche
von ~21 m² (Fläche 4,6 x 4,6 Meter) oder 4,6 Meter im Durchmesser
nutzen. Auf größeren Flächen mehrere Geräte nutzen! Das Gerät
vertreibt Stechmücken, Kriebelmücken und andere Fluginsekten.
Hitze von der Thermacell
®
Butangaspatrone aktiviert das
Wirkstoffplättchen und bietet Insektenschutz für bis zu 4 Stunden
(bis zu 12 Stunden bei der Verwendung der L4 long-life
Wirkstoffplättchen). Bei der Wirkstoffverdampfung kommt es
gelegentlich zu Rauchbildung über dem Verdampfergrill; das ist
normal.Abdeckung muss beim Betrieb der Stechmücken-
schutzfunktion abgenommen sein. Zur Verlängerung der
Lebensdauer Gerät an einem sauberen, trockenen Ort lagern.
Stechmückenschutzfunktion funktioniert auch ohne Batterien für
den ZoneCheck Monitor.
NUTZUNGSBESCHRÄNKUNG
Nur für Anwendung im Freien als Insektenschutz. Nicht im
Rauminneren, in Zelten oder geschlossenen Räumen verwenden.
Nichts Anderes als Thermacell-Wirkstoffplättchen in das Gerät
einschieben. Ungeschützte Speisen entfernen oder abdecken.
Gerät nicht unbeaufsichtigt lassen. Bei Wind nicht verwenden.
Gerät oder Wirkstoffplättchen nicht dem Regen aussetzen. Das
Gerät auf eine ebene und stabile Unterlage legen/stellen und das
Gitter nach oben ausrichten. Zum Reinigen des abgekühlten und
ausgeschalteten Geräts ein feuchtes Tuch verwenden. Andere
Gaspatronen als Thermacell
®
funktionieren nicht in dem Gerät.
Mögliche Funktionseinschränkung über 2130 Meter Seehöhe.
STEP 1 Durch Abnahme der Bodenabdeckung Zugang zum
Batterie- und Brennstoffabteil schaffen.
STEP 2 Das Batteriepack im Zentrum herausziehen. 4 Stk
AA-Batterien polrichtig einsetzen. Batteriepack wieder fest in die
vorhandenen Kontakte einsetzen.
STEP 3 Abdeckung der Butangascartridge abnehmen und 1-4
Cartridges beliebig in die Aufnahmen handfest einschrauben.
NICHT ÜBERDREHEN. Eine Cartridge liefert Energie für ~12
Stunden, 4 Cartridges liefern Energie für bis zu 48 Stunden.
STEP 4 Bodenabdeckung wieder aufsetzen.
STEP 5 Gerät auf eine ebene Fläche stellen. Schutzkappe abnehmen.
STEP 6 Wirkstoffplättchen auspacken und unter den
Verdampfergrill einschieben. Ein Wirkstoffplättchen reicht für max.
4 Stunden (bis zu 12 Stunden bei der Verwendung der L4 long-life
Wirkstoffplättchen). Wenn der Wikstoff verdampft ist, verfärbt sich
das Plättchen von blau nach weiss.
STEP 7 Zum Einschalten die Nase am Beleuchtungsring lokjalisieren
und auf die erste Position nach rechts drehen. Für 3-5 Sekunden
warten und dann die Nase weiter nach rechts auf die zweite Position
drehen bis ein Klicken zu hören ist. Zündung und Betrieb durch Blick
in die Kontrollöffnung prüfen. Es muss ein orangefarbenes Glimmen
zu sehen sein. Falls kein Glimmen zu sehen ist, Punkt 3 wiederholen.
STEP 8 Sicherstellen, dass der Drehschalter am linken Anschlag
auf "OFF" steht. Wirkstoffplättchen unter den schwarzen
Kunststoffgrill einschieben. Um verbrauchte Wirkstoffplättchen
auszutauschen, Das Gerät abschalten und abkühlen lassen und
danach das verbrauchte Plättchen mit einem neuen Plättchen
unter dem Grill herausschieben.

Stechmücken-Schutzzone durch den Leuchtring.

Problembehebung
Pulsierendes Licht für länger als 15 Minuten:
Überprüfen sie ob mindestens eine ausreichend gefüllte Butangas-
cartridge eingeschraubt ist; Sichtfenster prüfen, ob oranges Glimmen
zu sehen ist.
ZoneCheck Monitor leuchtet nicht:
- Batterien überprüfen. Nicht alte und neue Batterien bzw.
unterschiedliche Batterietypen mischen.
- Überprüfen, ob die Batterien polrichtig im Batteriepack
eingesetzt sind.
- Sicherstellen, dass alle Kontakte korrosionsfrei und sauber sind.
- Sicherstellen, dass das Batteriepack vollständig im Batterieabteil
eingestezt ist.
Gerät arbeitet nicht?
- Sicherstellen, dass Gerät für mindestens 15 Minuten eingeschaltet ist
- Prüfen, ob Abdeckung abgenommen und Wirkstoffplättchen
korrekt eingesetzt ist.
- Wirkstoffplättchen erneuern, wenn Nutzungszeitraum unsicher ist
- Gerät barrierefrei so platzieren, dass der Wirkstoff ungehindert in
die Umgebung verdampft werden kann.

CONSEILS UTILES
Laisser agir le produit pendant 10 à 30 minutes, selon la taille de
la zone. Ce produit fonctionne bien en extérieur, dans des zones où
un minimum d’air circule, par exemple des terrasses, porches non
fermés, patios et cours. Le produit peut être utilisé pour du
camping sauvage. Utiliser un produit par tranche de 225 pieds
carrés /~21m² (une zone de 15’ x 15’ ou 4,6 x 4,6 mètres) ou 15’/4,6
mètres de diamètre. Le produit protège contre les moustiques, les
mouches noires, les insectes volants et les parasites. La chaleur
de la cartouche Thermacell
®
active la plaquette et fournit une
protection contre les moustiques pendant une durée allant jusqu’à
quatre heures (jusqu’à 12 heures si l’on utilise des plaquettes L4
longue durée). Lors de l'évaporation du répulsif, une fumée peut
apparaître sur la grille de vaporisation ; c'est tout à fait normal.
Pour utiliser la fonction anti-moustiques, le couvercle doit être
retiré. Pour pronlonger la durée de vie de l'appareil, stockez-le
dans un endroit propre et sec. La fonction anti-moustiques
fonctionne également même s'il n'y a pas de piles pour le
ZoneCheck Monitor.
RESTRICTIONS QUANT À L’UTILISATION

ne fonctionnera pas avec d’autres cartouches de butane que les
Thermacell
®

STEP 1 Access the battery and fuel compartment by removing the
bottom cover.
STEP 2 Pull battery pack out from the center to load batteries.
Insert 4 AA batteries as indicated +/-. Return battery pack to unit,
fitting contacts firmly into the socket.
STEP 3 Remove butane cartridge cap (if present). Screw 1-4 fuel
cartridge(s) into ports in any order. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Each
cartridge runs for 12 hours, 4 cartridges will provide a total of 48
hours of run time.
STEP 4 Replace bottom cover.
STEP 5 Place the unit on a flat level surface. Remove protective cover.
STEP 6 Unwrap one Thermacell
®
Mosquito Repellent mat. Slide
mat under the grill. Mats last a maximum of 4 hours (up to 12 hours
when using L4 long-life mats). Mat turns from pale blue to white
when repellent has been exhausted.
STEP 7 To turn ON, locate the tab on the light ring. Slide the tab to
the first position on the right. Wait 3-5 seconds and then push tab to
second position, clicking to start. Confirm the unit is started by looking
through the view window for a glow. If the glow is NOT visible, repeat
#3.
STEP 8 To turn OFF, rotate the light ring tab to the left to the off
position. Allow to cool. Return protective cover to top of unit when
not in use.

protection through the light ring.

Troubleshooting
Pulsing light continues more than 15 minutes:
Check that at least 1 Thermacell
®
fuel cartridge is inserted and has
fuel; check view window for orange glow.
ZoneCheck Monitor not lighting up:
- Check batteries. Do not mix different types or old/new batteries.
- Confirm batteries are in correct +/- orientation in battery pack.
- Confirm all contacts are clean and free of debris.
- Ensure battery holder is fully seated into the bottom of the unit.
Unsure unit is working?
- Make sure unit is on and running for at least 15 minutes.
- Ensure cover is off and mat is installed correctly under grill.
- Replace mat if unsure how long it has been used for.
- Do not place barriers such as tables, walls, or umbrellas between
unit and desired area of protection.

STEP 1 Accéder au compartiment de piles et de combustible en
retirant le couvercle.
STEP 2 Retirer le bloc de piles situé au milieu. Placer 4 piles AA
en respectant la polarité. Replacer le bloc de piles en respectant
les points de contact.
STEP 3 Retirer le couvercle de la cartouche de gaz buthane et visser
solidement au choix de 1 à 4 cartouches. NE PAS TROP SERRER. Une
cartouche fournit suffisamment d'énergie pour environ 12 heures,
4 cartouches fournissent suffisamment d'énergie pour 48 heures.
STEP 4 Replacer le couvercle.
STEP 5 Placer l'appareil sur une surface plane. Retirer le couvercle
de protection.
STEP 6 Retirer une plaquette répulsive anti-moustique
Thermacell
®
de son emballage et l'insérer sous la grille de
vaporisation. Les plaquettes durent au maximum 4 heures (jusqu'à
12 heures avec les plaquettes L4 longue durée). Les plaquettes
passent du bleu au blanc une fois que le répulsif est épuisé.
STEP 7 Pour allumer, repérer la languette sur l'anneau lumineux et
la tourner vers la droite pour la placer en première position. Attendre
3-5 secondes puis faire glisser une seconde fois la languette vers la
droite en deuxième position, jusqu'à entendre un clic. Vérifier que
l'appareil est bien allumé et en fonctionnement en regardant à travers
la fenêtre de contrôle. Une lueur orange doit être visible. Si vous ne
voyez aucune lueur, répéter le point 3.
STEP 8 S'assurer que l'interrupteur installé sur la butée de
gauche soit bien sur « OFF ». Insérer la plaquette répulsive
anti-moustique sous la grille noire en plastique. Pour changer une
plaquette usagée, éteindre l'appareil et le laisser refroidir, puis
remplacer la plaquette usagée par une nouvelle sous la grille.
ZoneCheck Monitor
Le ZoneCheck Monitor de l'HALO indique la situation de la zone de
protection anti-moustiques via l'anneau lumineux.

Remarque: si le ZoneCheck Monitor clignote pendant plus de 15
minutes, lire le dépannage.
Dépannage
La lumière clignote pendant plus de 15 minutes:
Vérifier si au moins une cartouche de buthane suffisamment remplie
est vissée. Vérifier via la fenêtre de contrôle qu'une lueur orange
apparaît.
Le ZoneCheck Monitor ne s'allume pas:
- Vérifier les piles. Ne pas mélanger des piles anciennes et neuves
ou différents types de piles.
- Vérifier si les batteries sont placées correctement, dans le
respect de la polarité, dans le bloc de piles.
- S'assurer que tous les points de contact sont propres et ne
présentent aucune corrosion.
- S'assurer que le bloc de piles est entièrement inséré dans le
compartiment de piles.
L'appareil ne fonctionne pas?
- S'assurer que l'appareil est allumé depuis au moins 15 minutes.
- Vérifier que le couvercle est bien retiré et que la plaquette de
répulsif est correctement installée.
- Renouveler la plaquette de répulsif si vous n'êtes plus sûr(e) de la
durée d'utilisation.
- Placer l'appareil de manière à ce que le répulsif puisse être
vaporisé sans obstacles dans l'environnement.

STEP 1 Rimuovendo il rivestimento sul fondo, accedere al vano
batterie e allo scomparto del combustibile.
STEP 2 Estrarre il pacco batterie presente al centro. Inserire 4
batterie AA rispettando la corretta polarità. Inserire il pacchetto batterie
nuovamente nei contatti disponibili assicurandosi della sua stabilità.
STEP 3 Rimuovere il rivestimento della cartuccia di gas butano e
avvitare serrando manualmente 1 - 4 cartucce nelle sedi. NON
SERRARE ECCESSIVAMENTE. Una cartuccia eroga energia per 12 ore
circa e 4 cartucce producono energia per un massimo di 48 ore.
STEP 4 Applicare nuovamente il rivestimento del fondo.
STEP 5 Disporre l'apparecchio su una superficie piana. Rimuovere il
cappuccio protettivo.
STEP 6 Estrarre una piastrina dalla confezione ed inserirla sotto alla
griglia dell'evaporatore. Le piastrine durano un massimo di 4 ore (fino
a 12 ore quando si utilizzano le piastrine L4 a lunga durata). La
piastrina cambia colore passando da blu pallido a bianco quando il
repellente è esaurito.
STEP 7 Per eseguire l'attivazione, individuare il dente sulla ghiera
d'illuminazione e farlo ruotare verso destra raggiungendo la prima
posizione. Attendere 3-5 secondi e far ruotare il dente ulteriormente
verso destra raggiungendo la seconda posizione fino a quando non è
possibile avvertire uno scatto. Verificare l'accensione e il funzionamento
nell'apertura di controllo. Si deve poter vedere una luminescenza
arancione. In assenza di questa luminescenza, ripetere il punto 3.
STEP 8 Accertarsi che l'interruttore rotanti si trovi in
corrispondenza del finecorsa a sinistra su "OFF". Inserire la piastrina
sotto alla griglia in plastica nera. Per sostituire le piastrine usate,
disattivare l'apparecchio e lasciarlo raffreddare. In seguito far uscire
la piastrina usata facendone scorrere una nuova sotto alla griglia.
ZoneCheck Monitor
Il monitor ZoneCheck di HALO comunica lo stato della zona
protetta dalle zanzare attraverso la ghiera luminosa.
Se la luce è ad impulsi HALO è in fase di riscaldamento
Se la luce è fissa HALO ha raggiunto la temperatura ideale
e crea una zona protetta dalle zanzare.
Nota: Se il monitor ZoneCheck emette impulsi per un periodo
superiore a 15 minuti, leggere la risoluzione dei problemi in tutte le
sue parti.
Risoluzione dei problemi
La luce emette impulsi per un periodo superiore a 15 minuti:
Verifica che sia inserita almeno una cartuccia di gas butano riempita
a sufficienza. Controllare che dalla finestra d'ispezione sia visibile una
luminescenza arancione.
Mancanza di luci del monitor ZoneCheck:
- Verificare le batterie. Non mescolare le batterie vecchie e nuove
o diversi modelli di batterie.
- Verificare di aver inserito le batterie rispettando le corrette
polarità nel pacchetto batterie.
- Accertarsi che i contatti siano privi di segni di corrosione e siano
puliti.
- Accertarsi che il pacchetto batteria sia completamente inserito
nel vano batterie.
Controllo del malfunzionamento dell'apparecchio?
- Accertarsi che l'apparecchio sia attivato per almeno 15 minuti.
- Verificare che il rivestimento sia rimosso e che la piastrina sia
inserita in modo corretto.
- Sostituire la piastrina in caso di dubbi sul suo periodo di validità.
- Disporre l'apparecchio in un luogo privo di barriere in modo da
consentire l'evaporazione del principio attivo senza ostacoli
nell'ambiente.
