Setting input method

1. On the on-screen keyboard, tap.

2. Tap Settings to change the keyboard settings.

3.2 Configuring Keyboard Settings

Use keyboard aids to set up various input settings.

1. From the Home screen, tap>

Setting

Language & input.

2. Tap Configure input methods > Settings.

You can also access this settting by tapping> TouchPal keyboard.

3. Select the applicable options from the following keyboard settings:

• Keypress sound: Select to adjust the volume

level of the clicking sound when a key is

touched.

• Keypress vibration: Select to adjust the

vibration amplitude level when a key is touched.

• Keypress popup: Select to enable popup

effect when a key is touched.

• Alternative symbols: Select to show

alternative symbol on buttons.

• Keyboard layout: Select to configure the

portrait/landscape layout and other keyboard

layout settings.

• Smary input: Select to enable word prediction,

predict new word, correct mistyping, spellcheck,

adaptive learning, and context prediction.

• Language: Select to set the keyboard

language.

• Chinese input: Select to enable large Chinese charset, input next word by

space, stroke filtering, Traditional Chinese mode, and configure fuzzy PinYin.

• Handwriting: Select to configure Chinese handwriting.

• Update dictionary: Select to update dictionaries.

• Import contacts: Select to import names from system contact list.

• Import system dictionary: Select to import new words from system user

dictionary.
