There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Do not use the device if covers, protectors or optical components are missing or damaged. DANGER! Installation 4 Installation Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively. You can install the device standing or hanging. When in use, the device must be mounted at a solid surface or clamped to an approved truss.
Installation WARNING! Risk of injury caused by falling objects Make sure that the installation complies with the standards and rules that apply in your country. Always secure the device with a secondary safety attachment, such as a safety cable or a safety chain. CAUTION! Risk of injury due to heavy weight Due to the heavy weight of the device, at least two persons are required for trans‐ port and installation.
Installation NOTICE! Use of stands When mounting the device onto a stand, ensure that the stand is in a safe and stable position and that the weight of the device does not exceed the maximum permissible load capacity of the stand. 4.1 Tips on handling speakers We recommend you to set up the speakers in a way, that the sound signals can reach the audi‐ ence unobstructedly. It will often be helpful to mount the speakers on tripods.
Installation 4.2 Hanging the speaker box To hang the speaker box on special mounting devices (aka ‘flying’), top, bottom and sides of the box have M6 threads (item no. 299659) or M8 threads (item no. 299657 and 299658). Safety eyes can be screwed into these threads. Check the secure connection of the safety eyelets with the box carefully, before you use it in ‘flying mode’. 4.3 Pin assignment You may use XLR and jack connectors with either balanced or unbalanced pinout.
Installation XLR connections for signal inputs/outputs XLR panel sockets are provided for signal inputs. XLR panel plugs are provided for signal out‐ puts. The figure and the table show the XLR pin assignment.

Connections and operating elements 1 LINE IN B Line signal input, designed as XLR / 1/4" jack combo socket. 2 MIC/LINE IN A Balanced microphone / line signal input, designed as XLR / 1/4" jack combo socket. 3 LINE OUT B Line signal output, designed as XLR panel plug. 4 LINE OUT A Line signal output, designed as XLR panel plug. 5 Slide switch for selecting the input sensitivity of the amplifier (line or microphone) on signal input A.
Connections and operating elements 6 MODE Slide switch for operating mode selection: MUSIC, FLAT, LOW CUT. LEDs indicate the selected mode. Before you change the mode, please turn off the unit. This will avoid damages. 7 LED PWR Indicates that operating voltage is present. 8 LED SIG Indicates that the input signal is present. 9 LED CLIP Indicates overload (clipping). In this case, the level of the line input signal is too high. 10 VOLUME Volume control.
