9.1 Battery replacement
Change the batteries when the device functions become weak (in battery operation).
Open the battery compartment and insert two new AA 1.5 V batteries, polarity as illustrated.
Close the battery compartment again.

Problem Solution
No display Battery operation:
Ensure the batteries' polarities are correct
Change the batteries
Operation with power adapter:
Control the power adapter
No projection Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button
Operation with power adapter:
Activate with Projection HIGH/LOW/OFF button
No backlight Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button
8.1 Projection
The projection of the time (DCF), indoor temperature and alarm symbol (if alarm is activated) appears
onto a wall or ceiling.
Press the Projection HIGH/LOW/OFF button to adjust the brightness in 2 levels or to switch it off.
Press and hold the Projection HIGH/LOW/OFF button to turn the image by 180°.
Turn the dial and set the focus.
8.2 Backlight
Press the or button to adjust the brightness in 2 levels or to switch it off (HIGH/LOW/OFF).
8.3. SNOOZE/LIGHT button
To temporarily activate the bright backlight and projection, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (in battery oper-
ation or with adapter at the position LOW/OFF).
9. Care and maintenance
Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
Remove the batteries and pull out the plug of the socket if the device will not be used for an extended
period of time.
Keep the device in a dry place.
