Safety notices
WARNING
y Keep this device and the batteries out of reach of children.
y Small parts can be swallowed by children (under three years old).
y Batteries contain harmful acids and may be hazardous if swallowed. If a battery
is swallowed, this can lead to serious internal burns and death within two hours.
If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or otherwise caught in the
body, seek medical help immediately.
y Batteries must not be thrown into a re, short-circuited, taken apart or
recharged. Risk of explosion!
y Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage
caused by leaking. Make sure the polarities are correct. Never use a combina-
tion of old and new batteries together, nor batteries of different types. Remove
the batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period of time. Wear
chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when handling leaking
batteries.

y Unauthorized repairs, alterations or changes to the product are prohibited.
y Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.
y Clean the instrument with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or
scouring agents.

Getting started
y Remove the protective lm from the display.
y Slide the lid of the battery compartment downwards (in direction of the arrow)
and insert two new batteries (2 x 1,5 V AAA).
Make sure the polarities are correct.
y Close the battery compartment again.
y All LCD segments will be displayed for a short moment.
y The device is ready for use.
Operation
Timer
y Slide the alarm volume switch to the desired position
(see "Alarm volume setting")
y Press the MODE button to select the HR/MIN or MIN/SEC mode (default).
y Press the HR/MIN or MIN/SEC button to set the desired time. Press and hold
the buttons in setting mode for fast mode.
y Set a pre-alarm if desired (see "Pre-alarm").
y Press the START/STOP button to start the count-down process.
y

y During the count-down the symbol will be ashing.
y With the START/STOP button you can stop and restart the counting.
y When the timer counted down to 00:00, a beeping alarm will sound for 60
seconds and the START/STOP button ashes in yellow. The symbol appears
on the display and the timer will start to count-up the elapsed time.
y With the START/STOP button you can stop the count-up and the alarm.
y The timer will recall the last selected time automatically.
y If the alarm is not interrupted within 60 seconds, only two alarm tones will
sound every 10 seconds. It will automatically turn off after 99 minutes.

y Push the HR/MIN and the MIN/SEC button at the same time to reset the timer
y If the alarm is not interrupted within 60 seconds, only two alarm tones will
sound every 10 seconds. It will automatically turn off after 99 minutes.
Pre-alarm
y To activate the pre-alarm function, move the pre-alarm switch to ON.
y The pre-alarm display appears (default 00:00).
y Press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds.
y The pre-alarm display ashes. Use the HR/MIN button and the MIN/SEC button
to set the desired time for the pre-alarm. For example, if 1 minute is set, an
alarm tone sounds one minute before the time expires.
y Conrm the setting with the MODE button.
y Slide the pre-alarm switch to OFF to deactivate the pre-alarm function.
y The red mark shows the setting you have selected.
Memory-function for 3 time settings
y Press and hold the M1 button for 3 seconds.
y 00:00 ashes.
y Press the MODE button to select the HR/MIN or MIN/SEC mode.
y Press the HR/MIN or MIN/SEC button to set the desired time.
y Conrm the setting with the M1 button.
y The pre-alarm display ashes.
y Use the HR/MIN button and the MIN/SEC button to set the desired time for
the pre-alarm.
y Conrm the setting with the M1 button.
y Press the M1 button to recall the preset time.
y Set the memory function for M 2 and M 3 in the same way, if desired.
Alarm volume setting
y Set with the switch at the right side the volume for the alarm.

y The red mark shows the setting you have selected.
Stopwatch
y Push the HR/MIN and the MIN/SEC button at the same time to reset
the timer to 00:00.
y Press the START/STOP button to start the count-up process.

Attachment
y With the foldable leg the device can be placed onto at surfaces.
y With the wall mounting hole you can x the instrument with a nail.
y Use the two magnets at the back of the instrument for placement on
metal surfaces.
Battery replacement
y Change the batteries when the battery symbol appears on the display.
y Open the battery compartment and insert two new AAA 1,5 V batteries. Make
sure the polarities are correct. Close the battery compartment again.
