Monitor
Operate the device out of reach of persons (including children) who can-
not fully appreciate the potential risks of handling electrical equipment.
Connect the USB cable to the device and the power adaptor first and then
plug the power adapter into the socket.
Route the USB cable lead so that it does not come into contact with sharp-
edged or hot objects.
Caution!
Risk of injury!
Batteries containing lithium carry a risk of fire or explosion due to heat
or mechanical damage!
Protect it from high temperatures. Do not throw into fire, short-circuit or
take apart. If the device becomes hot while charging or the battery is no
longer charged, this is a sign of a defect. Disconnect the device from the
charging power source immediately.
The battery cannot and must not be replaced or removed by you. There is
a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. If necessary, a
qualified person can obtain instructions on how to dismantle the perma-
nently installed battery from info@tfa-dostmann.de, should this be neces-
sary for the purpose of repairing or recycling the product.
Important information on product safety!
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.
Avoid direct sunshine.
The instrument is not unbreakable. In case of falling down parts can
break.

5. Getting started
Important note: When using the device for the first time, please make sure
to connect the power supply uninterruptedly for 24 hours. The device will
perform an automatic calibration within 24 hours.
Plug the supplied USB-C cable into the designated port on the device and
connect the unit to the mains using the power adapter.
When using the mains adapter as a power supply, the integrated Li-Ion
battery is charged. To fully charge, leave the device connected for approx-
imately 4.5 hours.
If you operate the device without a power connection, the battery runtime
is about 12 hours at highest brightness level. The battery symbol flashes
when the battery needs to be charged (battery voltage below 3.3 V) and
the device switches off after some time.
6. Operation
Press the POWER/LIGHT sensor button for 3 seconds to switch on the
device.
The device will issue two beeps and all segments will be displayed briefly.
The display shows the current temperature and humidity.
The CO
2
sensor goes into warm-up mode and starts a 150-second count-
down. Afterwards the normal display appears. The device is ready for use.
Press the UP/°C/°F button in normal mode to change between °C (Celsius)
or °F (Fahrenheit) as temperature units.
Briefly press the POWER/LIGHT sensor button to adjust the brightness in
4 steps (high, medium, low, off).
Press the POWER/LIGHT sensor button for 3 seconds to deactivate the
device.
