10. Waste disposal
This product has been manufactured using high-grade
materials and components which can be recycled and
reused.
Never dispose of empty batteries and re-
chargeable batteries in household waste.
As a consumer, you are legally required to
take them to your retail store or to appropriate
collection sites depending on national or local
regulations in order to protect the environ-
ment.
The symbols for the heavy metals contained
are: Cd=cadmium, Pb=lead, Hg=mercury
This instrument is labelled in accordance with
the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equip-
ment Directive (WEEE).

To get the most accurate temperature reading, aim at
the target as near as possible.
Not suitable for measuring shiny or polished metal sur-
faces (stainless steel, aluminium, etc.).
The device cannot measure through transparent sur-
faces such as glass or plastic. It will measure the sur-
face temperature of the glass instead.
8. Care and maintenance
The sensor is the most delicate part of the infrared ther-
mometer. Please protect the sensor part from dirt.
For cleaning, please use a cotton swab soaked with
medical alcohol (70-75%).
Allow the sensor to dry completely for at least 1 minute.
Clean the rest of the unit with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the
device for a long period of time.
8.1 Battery replacement
Change the batteries when the battery symbol appears
on the display.
Confirm the unit is switched off before changing batteries.
Please follow the instructions on the section “Getting
started”.
