In order to get a good performing system, an LDO with short response time and
an output capacitor with low ESR are required.
For any regulator of the TPS76xxx/TPS770xx series, an output capacitor of
at least 4.7 µF is required. The ESR of the capacitor should be between 0.5 Ω
and 3 Ω to ensure stability.
