Figure 11 through Figure 13 show the design of the TPS40040EVM-001 printed-circuit board. The EVM
has been designed using double-sided, 2-oz. copper-clad circuit board 2.5 in. × 2.5 in. with all components
in a 1.40 in. × 1.0 in. active area on the top side to allow the user to easily view, probe, and evaluate the
TPS40040 control IC in a practical double-sided application. Moving components to both sides of the PCB
or using additional internal layers can offer additional size reduction for space constrained systems.
