Figure 5 shows the circuit used to test the short-circuit response of the fuse, PTC resistor, and

TPS2014. A 5-V, 22-A power supply was used for the source. The short-circuit current was

measured to determine the fault current and fault clearing time. The voltage on an adjacent port

was measured to determine the short-circuit effect.

Notes:

1. Channel 1: Adjacent Port Output Voltage 1 V/div

2. Channel 2: Short-circuit Output Current 5 A/div
