Precautions for Rechargeable Batteries
• Do not expose batteries to temperatures above 140¡F (60¡C).
• Do not disassemble or mistreat batteries.
• Use only the charger recommended for the cell or battery, or the one that was
provided with the original equipment.
• TI recommends that you use the USB cable included with this calculator. If you
choose to use a third-party power adapter with the TI-supplied USB cable, you
should use an adapter that meets applicable safety and operational standards and
certifications, including UL and CE certifications.
Take these precautions when replacing rechargeable batteries:
• Replace only with a TI approved battery.
• Remove the cell or battery from the charger or alternating current adapter when
not in use or being charged.
• Use of the battery in other devices may result in personal injury or damage to
equipment or property.
• Do not mix brands (or types within brands) of batteries. There is a risk of explosion
if a battery is replaced by the wrong type.
