Next, using the right button of the mouse, select Activate DRC GUI (Figure 13 ).

Set the compression ratio to a value between 1 and 50. The offset has a range at ± 6 dB. A value of 0 is
illegal. If no offset is required, set the offset to 0. Offset is generally not required in a DRC application
because is just provides a gain. Threshold is selected with a value of 0 to –72 dB.

Time constants: Select the time constants to adjust the energy, attack, and decay filters (Figure 14 ).
