TheTAS3108/TAS3108IAalgorithmandsoftwaredevelopmenttoolsetisacombinationofclassical
developmenttoolsandgraphicaldevelopmenttools.Thetoolsetisusedtobuild,debug,andexecute
programsinboththeaudioDSPand8051sectionsoftheTAS3108/TAS3108IA.
Classicaldevelopmenttoolingincludestexteditors,compilers,assemblers,simulators,andsource-level
debuggers.The8051canbeprogrammedexclusivelyinANSIC.
The8051toolsetisanoff-the-shelftoolset,withmodificationsasspecifiedinthisdocument.The8051
toolsetisacompleteenvironmentwithanIDE,editor,compiler,debugger,andsimulator.
TheaudioDSPcoreisprogrammedexclusivelyinassembly.TheaudioDSPtoolsetisacomplete
environmentwithanIDE,context-sensitiveeditor,assembler,andsimulator/debugger.
GraphicaldevelopmenttoolingprovidesameansofprogrammingtheaudioDSPcoreand8051througha
graphicaldrag-and-dropinterfaceusingmodularaudiosoftwarecomponentsfromacomponentlibrary.
ThegraphicaltoolingproducesaudioDSPassemblyand8051ANSICcode,aswellascoefficientsand
data.Theclassicaltoolscanalsobeusedtoproducetheexecutablecode.
Inadditiontobuildingapplications,thetoolsetsupportsthedebugandexecutionofaudioDSPand8051
codeonbothsimulatorsandEVMhardware.
