3.2 Capacitive Sensors
There is only one way to easily simulate capacitive sensors on the PGA400-Q1 EVM. This
method uses a fixed reference cap on one leg, and then a fixed cap in parallel with a variable
trim cap on the other leg. The reference leg capacitance is set to 56pF, and the variable leg is
adjustable from 35 – 80pF. The figure below shows the circuit for the capacitive sensor
simulator.
