FEATURES
DESCRIPTION

• HIGH- or LOW-SIDE SENSING
The INA220 is a current shunt and power monitor
with an Two-Wire interface. The INA220 monitors
• SENSES BUS VOLTAGES FROM 0V TO +26V
both shunt drop and supply voltage. A programmable
• REPORTS CURRENT, VOLTAGE, AND POWER
calibration value, combined with an internal multiplier,
• 16 PROGRAMMABLE ADDRESSES
enables direct readouts in amperes. An additional
• HIGH ACCURACY: 0.5% (Max) OVER multiplying register calculates power in watts. The
Two-Wire interface features 16 programmable
TEMPERATURE (INA220B)
addresses. The separate shunt input on the INA220
• USER-PROGRAMMABLE CALIBRATION
allows it to be used in systems with low-side sensing.
• FAST (3.4MHz) TWO-WIRE MODE
The INA220 is available in two grades: A and B. The
• MSOP-10 PACKAGE
B grade version has higher accuracy and higher
precision specifications.
APPLICATIONS
The INA220 senses across shunts on buses that can
• SERVERS
vary from 0V to 26V, useful for low-side sensing or
• TELECOM EQUIPMENT
CPU power supplies. The device uses a single +3V
• NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS
to +5.5V supply, drawing a maximum of 1mA of
• POWER MANAGEMENT
supply current. The INA220 operates from –40°C to
+125°C.
