This section covers in detail the EVM operation to guide the user in evaluating the onboard DAC and how
to interface the EVM to a specific host processor.
See the DAC8550 data sheet (SLAS476 ), DAC8551 data sheet (SLAS429 ), and DAC8552 data sheet
(SLAS430 ) for information about the serial interface and other related topics.
The EVM board is factory-tested and configured to operate in the unipolar output mode.
The EVM board is set to its default configuration from the factory as described on Table 3 to operate in
unipolar +5-V mode. Figure 10 and Figure 11 show the default jumper configuration as described in the
table for the DAC8550/51 and DAC8552, respectively.
