Followthesestepstomeasureultra‐lowerpower(SeeFigure7‐5below)
1. Removethe3V3jumper(J18)andattachanammeteracrossthisjumper.
2. EnsurethattheCC3220MODASxdeviceisnotdrivinganyhighcurrentloadsdirectly,likeanLED,
becausethatcancauselargecurrentdrawn.

Begintargetexecutionandsetthedevicetolow‐powermodes(LPDSorhibernate).
4. Measurethecurrent.Rememberthatifthecurrentlevels arefluctuating,itmaybedifficultto
getastablemeasuremen t.Itiseasiertomeasurequ iescentstates

1. RemovetheVBATjumper(J18).
2. Soldera0.1‐Ω resistoronawirewhichcanbeconnectedtoavoltmeter/oscilloscope,asshown
inFigure14.Or,attachajumperacrossJ18sothatitcanbe
usedwithacurrentprobe.
3. Measurethevoltageacrosstheresistorusinganoscilloscopewithadifferentialprobe.Forthe
currentprobe,coilthewirearoundthesensorseveraltimesforgoodsensitivity.
4. Anammetercanalsobeusedforthismeasurement,buttheresultsmaybeerroneousdue
to
theswitchingnatureofthecurrent.
