3.4 Connecting Power

After the boards are conjoined, connect the +6-V wall supply to the USB_DIG_Platform board as shown in

Figure 6. Note that it is always necessary to connect the power to the DIG before connecting the USB

cable. If the USB cable is connected before the power, the computer may attempt communication to an

unpowered device that is unable to respond. In addition, the BUF22821 test board requires an external dc

power source. This source is not included with the kit, and its voltage may differ depending on your testing

needs. The source will be used to provide dc supply voltage to the BUF22821 test board.
