Step 2. Select ADSXXXXEVM (where ADSXXXXEVM is the installed device which is to be
evaluated) from the EVM drop-down menu. The ADSXXXXEVM-PDK plug-in appears in the
left pane, as shown in Figure 8 .

Step 3. The MSOP-8EVM-PDK plug-in window has a status area at the top of the screen. When the
plug-in is first loaded, the plug-in searches for the board. You will see a series of messages
in the status area indicating this action.
Step 4. Apply power to the PDK and connect the board to an available PC USB port.
Step 5. If you have not yet loaded the operating system drivers, Windows will display the Found New
Hardware Wizard sequence (illustrated in Figure 9 through Figure 13 ). Accept the default
settings.
