Reset button
How to access the reset button
The Reset button is located inside the SIM compartment in the bottom of the EXPLORER 323.
Do as follows:
1. Loosen the three screws holding the cover for the SIM compartment.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Use a pointed device to push the Reset button. The function depends on the length of
time you press and hold the button, see below.
4. Close the cover and tighten the three screws carefully.
This is important in order to maintain the IP grade of the EXPLORER 323.
Functions of the reset button
The EXPLORER 323 has a Reset button that has three functions: 1) To restore all settings to
factory settings, 2) to restore LAN and WLAN settings only and 3) to put the EXPLORER 323
into safe mode for recovery software upload.

You can set up in the web interface which functions should apply to the Reset button.

Action Function
Push and hold the Reset
button for 2 seconds
LAN settings: The terminal IP address and IP netmask are
temporarily set to the default value (default IP address:
192.168.0.1).
WLAN settings are restored to default.
Default WLAN settings:
•WLAN is Disabled
• Broadcast SSID: EXPLORER323
• Encryption standard: WPA2-AES
• Encryption key: serial number of the EXPLORER 323
•Region: Other, i.e. the most restrictive setting
