AP Configuration Information
Refer to the IntelliVue Smart-hopping Infrastructure Installation and Service Guide
for complete details about configuring the IntelliVue Smart-hopping AP.
Access Point Startup Sequence
Upon power on/start up, the IntelliVue Smart-hopping Core Access Point will
perform a Power-on-Self-Test (POST) to ensure that its basic components are fully
functional.
This test detects critical system failures. As the test progresses the state of the
system is displayed through a series of color combinations on the Power/Sync,
Radio, and Network LEDs on the front of the AP. All three LEDs illuminate AMBER
color, then the Power/Sync LED illuminates GREEN and the other two LEDs turn off
(not illuminated) indicating correct startup. Should a test fail the LEDs are left in a
state which indicates the point at which the test failed. When the system is
transmitting data the radio and network LEDs on the AP will flicker on and off as
data is transmitted.
