Operation Manual

NOXON
Internet radio (RSDB)
Internet radio Displays the current version of the Internet radio database and the version of the sub-
scription service. TerraTec customers always receive the PREMIUM class of service.
Note: Other information might appear here based on the product variant, such as addi-
tional regional services.
Update Here, you can determine whether the radio list should be automatically updated online.
You can also start an update here manually.
Config. Date / Time
Set date & time In this menu item, the time can be set. To make this mundane procedure a little more
exciting, we've implemented three possible methods:
Manual
(only on the
NOXON2radio)
Manual time setting, same as for standard video recorders and digital clocks.
NTP Synchronize NTP stands for Network Time Protocol. With this function, the NOXON fetches the time,
accurate to the second, directly from the TerraTec Time Server via the Internet. Of
course, the Internet connection has to be up and running at the time.
RDS Synchronize
(only on the
NOXON2radio)
RDS is the commonly used Radio Data System, one of the functions of which is to
display the callsign of the current radio station. With this menu item function, the
NOXON sets its clock from the time stamp it receives through the RDS signal.
Select time format “15:00” or “3:00 PM”?
Select date format “05 Jan 2000” or “Jan 05 2000”?
Select time zone Use this to select your time zone, such as GMT+1 (Greenwich Mean Time +1) for Cen-
tral European Time. If you make the wrong choice here, the wrong time will be shown.
Daylight saving If regional or daylight savings time adjustments apply, these can be enabled during the
daylight savings period using this setting.
Standby clock (on/off) If this feature is enabled, the NOXON displays the time when it is switched off. In this
state, the display is kept at the lowest brightness setting.
