3 - The remote control and the buttons on the NOXON
Here it is—your infrared calorie saver. Most of the con-
trols will probably be familiar from other products from the
world of consumer electronics. A selection of controls
corresponding to those on the remote control are located
on the top of the NOXON, as you have probably already
discovered on the right.
3.1 The most important buttons for fast orientation
Here is an overview of the most important and frequently-used “keystrokes”:
Navigation buttons: Use these buttons to control the highlight
bar in the NOXON menus.
Volume: You can adjust the volume in all Play views while your
NOXON is playing by pressing up/down.
Text input: With up/down in configuration menus—after enter-
ing numbers with the 1-9 buttons on the remote control—you
can “scroll” through letters and numbers. This will also give you
special characters, e.g. for entering network keys.

Next / OK and Back / Cancel: Use the right arrow button to
confirm and the left arrow button for corrections and to cancel
actions.
Play: As with the Play button, you can also use this to access
specific radio stations and audio files!
Various View modes are connected with the right button, if it
is pressed in a Play view (not a list). For example, you can
display the time without the remote control, or call the Zoom
mode. If you keep pressing, you'll eventually return to the start-
ing display.
Skip forwards & Skip back / Delete: Skip to the next or previ-
ous item in the playback list (doesn't work with Internet radio).
Skip back also backspaces one character when entering
text.
