If you've programmed favorites into the device, some of them will be lost during the update. You can
prevent this by backing them up using the "NOXON Favorites Commander" program, which is avail-
able for download in beta version in the NOXON support area of the TerraTec website. To use this
program, a version of the Java Virtual Machine must be installed on the computer, which is already
true for most computers.
You can use the procedure outlined here separately from the firmware update to back up your fa-
vorites (individually or completely) or share them with other NOXON users.
The NOXON Favorites Commander copies and backs up favorites between NOXONs and a com-
puter. After unpacking the ZIP archive, start the program using the file "run.bat" (Windows) or by call-
ing up the file "*.ja" directly (Mac OS and Linux).

The IP address of your NOXON is specified in the menu "Configuration", "Device status", "Software
address", which you can access as follows:
We recommend that you write down your IP address.
When you enter your IP address into the field at the bottom left, the Favorites Commander estab-
lishes a connection to the NOXON. Depending on the speed of the network connection to your
NOXON, this can take up to 10 seconds.
Once a connection is successfully established, the favorites that were able to be backed up from the
"Favorites" list of your NOXON

appear in the left window. All of the favorites that appear in the Favor-
ites list on the NOXON but do not appear in the PC application are NOT overwritten during the up-
date.

These are primarily Internet radio stations marked as favorites.
Note: For all of the procedures outlined here, your NOXON has to be in the same network (gene
r-
ally, on the same hub or switch) as the computer from which the update is carried out.
We recommend connecting your switched-on NOXON and the computer to the network using
network cables during the update.
