AUTO-OFF FUNCTION
•If the steam button (15) is not pressed for 15 minutes (during both
steam and dry ironing), a beep will be heard. The appliance enters
the standby mode: iron (10) and the boiler
are switched off. Only the “AUTO-OFF”
symbol continues flashing on the display.
•Press the steam button (15) on the iron to
enable the appliance again.
SELF-CLEANING SYSTEM
The iron is supplied with a self-cleaning system which allows limestone
deposits to be reduced. To obtain full benefit from this system, carry
out this operation regularly at least once a month.
Proceed as follows:
• Bring the appliance near a sink.
• Fill tank (17) with water.
• Turn the iron knob (14) to the minimum temperature.
•Plug into the outlet and switch on the appliance by means of push
button (4).
•Quickly press the push button (4) three
times in succession: the appliance
automatically starts the self-cleaning
function and all the symbols will be shown
on the display.
•The noise of the internal pump will be heard and some water will
come out of the iron soleplate (16): this operation will take about 2
minutes, at the end the pump noise will stop.
•During this phase, shake the iron in a horizontal position over a sink.
The water and steam mixture will eliminate a part of the limestone
residues that are present in the soleplate.
•After this operation, switch off the appliance by pressing the push
button (4) and switch it on again as for steam ironing.
• Then turn the iron knob (14) to the maximum temperature.
•Never wrap the power cord (7) around the iron, but store it by the iron
side. Make sure it does not hang from the resting surface causing
hazardous situations.
