HOW TO FILL THE BOILER WITH WATER
• Always unplug the iron from the outlet when doing this.
• Rest the appliance on a firm flat surface before using it.
• Unscrew the cap (5) in anticlockwise direction and slowly pour the water throughthe
boiler opening (capacity: 0,8 l about).
• Screw up the cap again in clockwise direction.
WARNING!
Use running water to fill the boiler only: never add detergents, perfumed substances,
chemical additives.
Suggestions: Use distilled water, if the water is particularly calcareous.
HOW TO START
• Place the iron on the boiler support base (3).
• Turn the iron temperature control knob (17) to “steam ironing” (see table 3)
• Completely unwind the cord (7) and plug into outlet.
• The indicator lamp (18) on the iron will come on immediately and will go out a few
minutes after reaching the required temperature.
• Press the on/off button (2) on the boiler taking it to (ON).
• The appliance is ready to use when the light (8) turns on.
• During operation, the light (8) turns on and then automatically turns off indicating that
the pressure in the boiler is constantly under control.
WARNING!
Never unscrew the boiler cap (5) while the appliance is working.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when connected to the mains power supply.
Make sure the boiler body is on a stable surface before placing the iron on top.
Do not use the iron if it has been dropped, if there are signs of damage or if water leaks
from the soleplate.
IRONING
• Press button (14) on the iron for the steam jet: the steam will stop coming out when
you release the button.
• The indicator light (18) on the iron and the light (8) will light up and go off automati-
cally while ironing to show that the soleplate is being kept at a constant temperature.
• Rest the iron on the boiler support base (3) during intervals between ironing.
• With the iron held upright at a distance of 10/20 cm you can use the jet of steam to
smooth out creases and freshen up materials while they are hanging.
• Before ironing delicate fabrics it is best to make trial run on a hidden piece e.g. the
hem.
• We advise you to iron materials needing low temperatures first then go on to more
resistant materials, needing higher temperatures, afterwards.
• To use the continuos steam function, press the steam output key (14) and at the same
time slide the cursor (15) towards the handgrip. To turn this function off, slide the cur-
sor (15) in the opposite direction to the handrigp.
• The amount of steam you want to use during ironing can be set via the steam control
dial (10): for more steam, turn the dial in a clockwise direction, for less steam, turn the
dial in a counter clockwise direction.
WARNING!
• Some drops of water may leak out of the iron soleplate (13) when the jet of steam
starts coming out; this is quite normal and is due to condensation forming inside the
iron-boiler connecting tube (6). This will disappear with the next jet of steam. It is the-
refore best not to point the first jet of steam directly onto the item to be ironed.
• Never leave the iron unattended with the plug in the outlet when you are ironing.
