HOOD
Removal
Numbers in parentheses refer to Fig. 1.
WARNING
To prevent personal injury and property
damage, be sure blocking materials and lifting
equipment are properly secured and of
adequate capacity to do the job safely.
1. Position the machine on a level surface, apply the
parking brake and switch off the engine.
2. Block all road wheels and place the battery master
switch in the 'Off' position.
3. Remove bolts (30) and lockwashers (31) securing
grille (29) to grille subframe (7). Secure grille (29) clear
of hood (1).
4. Pull cable assembly (22), handle inside cab, to
release hood catch and lift up hood (1). Secure hood
(1) in raised position using suitable lifting equipment.
5. Carefully remove bolts (34), hardened washers (35),
tubes (36 & 37), washers (38), lockwashers (39) and
nuts (40).
