DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The articulation and oscillation pivot allows the front
and rear frames to rotate horizontally (articulation)
and tilt laterally (oscillation) with respect to each
other. It is also the main load bearing coupling
between the two frames. The pivot assembly houses
the driveshaft connecting the drive between the front
and rear frames.
Articulation bearings, oscillation bushes, pivot
driveshaft bearing and associated parts can be
removed, inspected and replaced or renewed by
following the procedures outlined in this section.
