DEER FENCE

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Pre-install all corners or corner ends for

your fence line. This includes any frames for

gates you will be using. Please refer to the

appropriate installation instructions for these.

STEP 2

Attach your monolament line from each end

or corner so that a line is running across the

entire span where the poly Deer Fence will

be installed (as shown in Figure 1). This is a

good way to measure the distance between

the support posts. Repeat this at the bottom

of the fence, as close to the ground as

possible, for maximum tension later on.

STEP 3

Secure the monolament wire to the corner,

ends, or gates. This is done by sliding the

monolament wire through one hole in the

sleeve around the supports, corner or end,

and through the other hole of the sleeve.

Then, use the crimping tool to fasten the

sleeves so that the lines do not move and are

tight.

STEP 4

Monolament tighteners should be used on

every run of monolaments top and bottom

between every corner and end of every

side of the fence line. Sleeves can be used

to fuse two broken or sliced ends of the

monolament wire (as shown in Figure 2).

DEER FENCE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS STEP 5 When placing line support posts, make sure they are every 15 to 20 feet. Start by driving the ground sleeves (that come with the heavy duty posts) into the ground using a drive cap (as shown in Figure 3). This makes sure the sleeves are not damages during the driving process. Drive caps will need to be replaced overtime as they will begin to mushroom.

DEER FENCE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS STEP 9 Install the ground stakes to keep deer from pushing up underneath the fence line. Place a 12 inch kinked stake about every 5 feet along the bottom of your fence line for maximum protection against under-the-fence attempts (as shown in Figure 6). STEP 10 Install white warning banners. These should be placed about every 10 feet along the fence, about 4 feet off the ground. These are used to keep deer from accidentally crashing into the fence at night.
