2.1 Introduction
After completing the installation process some basic unit's parameters must be configured locally using
the Monitor program to enable discovery by the Element Management System and remote management
of the unit.
Refer to “The Monitor Program” on page 38 for information on how to access the Monitor program
using Telnet and how to use it.
It is recommended to reset the unit to its factory default values before proceeding with following
configuration steps: Enter the Monitor program and select BTS>Unit Control>ShutDown
Operation>Update>resettoFactoryDefault (you will be prompted to confirm the requested action).
